To this day I'm convinced if Forster chases that he saves it

I reckon he'd fancy it here, because he knows we can offer him what he desires. However, it's always been assumed that he was going to Marseille or Fiorentina.

Wages, I think they'd be high maybe 30-40k, but that's just a guess. But again, that would obviously be in lieu of having a French international keeper for free.

I've said it til I was blue in the face, but it's Benjamin André who Celtic should be after from Rennes. Cracking centre mid and he likes Celtic Park, as he has said in the past.

Craig Gordon's contract talks have been shelved until the summer after negotiations between the players' representative and Celtic reached an impasse. (Scottish Daily Mail, newspaper edition)

    From the BBC.

Is it wrong if I'm already thinking of Costil as his replacement/improvement in the summer...? :36::party048:

No. It would be perfectly natural and a normal progression to think on Costil as his replacement. All the indicators seem to be pointing in his direction.

Definitely think Rodgers is bluffing slightly.

Don't doubt he has spoken to Gordon about a new deal but I don't think it's as straightforward as it appears. Can't help but think Gordon fancies a big pay day.

One thing I keep going back to is when he said he wished he had taken a percentage of the transfer fee to Sunderland because when he was out he missed out. Obviously isn't poor or anything but with the family etc if he is offered triple his wage at 34 he is bound to think about it.

We might also have had out heads turned with Costil being available.

Don't know if I can live with losing four of our best players within the space of a year. But at least it's to Celtic. :celt_2:

Top keeper, if we sell Gordon for good amount and get this guy in for free it would be amazing business. No doubt plenty teams down South and in Germany will be looking at him though.

Given that we've renewed Gordon till 2020, do we really need another keeper? That is unless we are offloading Bailey & DV.

At first I thought that because Gordon renewed this would be deid in the water but I'm now thinking that De Vries will be punted and Costil brought in as a serious challenger to Craig.

There is also the fact that Chelsea could well come back in for Gordon again.

Costil, as predicted, would be a serious challenger. Obviously, he is already challenging for his national team at the moment. Bordeaux are the new favourites for him, however, they cannot offer him the success that Celtic can which is what he wants.
