Boyd is fine. See bit too negative 're the refs. But he'll praise the opposition when it's due.

Paul Cuddi...whatever is awful. Every goal is 'in the back of the net'.

I don't think it's possible for any club TV not to be tacky.

Jim Craig sometimes does the co-commentary. He's very diplomatic. I like him.

Unless my memory is playing tricks did Archie McPherson not have a stint at commentating in the early days of Celtic TV?

Some of the decisions the other night were shocking and deserve to be highlighted. More importantly Boyd was stressing the need for refs to book some opposition players when there is constant fouling. It stops the true flow of a game of football when they don't. I think Boyd should be sharper in his comments as he always hits on a long winded explanation. He knows what he's on about though.

I guess I can see where the OP is coming from though. I'd prefer a neutral commentary. Archie McPherson did it a while back, and it brought the game to life. Be professional, commentate and analyse while the game is being played. Put the Celtic hats on after the whistle.

In the UK you only get radio coverage live which is in effect the overseas live stream we see on sportsmania etc minus the video so clearly they are trying to kill 2 birds with one stone whilst doing the commentary and obviously need to be more specific

I would love Chris Sutton in one day...he slates and praises everyone in equal measure when right to do so...don't think that'd ever happen though!

Boyd was adamant one of the Aberdeen players done a pass back to their goalkeeper after sticking a foot in and dispossessing Sinclair, was cringy as *.

Was wondering about that. Seemed like they guy just stuck a foot out and it went back to the keeper. Never a pass but Boyd went on about it for a good minute and a half afterwards.

Yeah there was nothing in it, he went a bit OTT.
