I agree he looked fresh enough. Bitton however was blowing out his * and yet again almost cost us a goal,

Because Rogic's creativity is worth having on the park and he did create several chances for us.

As I said previously, Rodgers does it for tactical reasons, in my opinion. He wouldn't be getting picked if he wasn't fit.

For example, Rogic was too tired to start the game against Motherwell, due to jet lag, so he wasn't picked.

Bitton was probably our worst player today.

He looked fairly * off at getting subbed today, I think he has struggled fitness wise in the past but getting subbed today was purely tactical.

See that is a fair enough reason the jet lag.

If it is solely tactical then why always the same player, is that not predictable?

Well as I said previously, he's played 90 mins several times this season. We'll see if it continues.

He didnt look too happy about it and thats another point.

Surely if its not a fitness issue then he will be getting pretty * always being the first player to go off

He didn't have his best game today and he probably knew it. Was probably as much * off at himself than being subbed.

Might have been down to the Huns putting ten men behind the ball but yeah, I don't think it was one of his better games.

thought he was decent today again. I would of left him on, but hey, thats why i was sat at home shouting at the tele, and Brendan was in the dugout making changes that lead to a winner with minutes to go.

still think he is the most talented player in our squad, makes passes that no one else can see. don't agree that he cant play 90 mins, most of the time he gets taken off are for tactical reasons. unfortunately, he is the obvious one to take off when bringing on another striker. 3-5-2 is the only way I can think to keep him on with 2 strikers and 2 wide men

The "can't last 90 minutes" thing is both true and untrue.

He can last 90 minutes every now and then, but not consistently. And by "not last" I mean, his level of performance tends to drop after 60 odd minutes. In high intensity matches, he just doesn't have the fitness levels to keep up with play and affect the game over 90 minutes.

I think that Rodgers might want two midfielders, to replace Bitton and Rogic in the starting XI. It'd be extremely harsh to drop Rogic but I don't think he fits into what Rodgers wants. He's looking for the team to be fast, aggressive and press for 90 minutes. Rogic and Bitton don't fit into that.
