I really liked Ip Man, starring Donnie Yen which I watched recently. It's on Netflix along with 2 sequels although I haven't watched them yet.

    I'm not picky.
I do enjoy the odd Asian film here and there, and more on the Horror variety rather than Action films like Ong Bak. I enjoyed the 1st Ringu film but the second and third one's weren't a patch. The Eye was excellent too...creepy as * I thought. Premonition and Shutter were good ones too.

I only read about it and thought "that sounds * UP!". Think it's one I'll give a miss :giggle1:

It's so weird with Asian cinema - they can bring out films like Visitor Q and others that are so graphically violent and strange yet I think their laws on * are (for the most part) pretty stringent with it even being banned in a few Asian countries. Says a lot when you're not allowed to view pornographic material yet showing someone having * with a dead body is OK :giggle1:

Absolutely - they actually have great story-line as well as the action.
In fact think I'll watch them again

English Vinglish. I watched this with the wife (was her pick) and it was actually a very good story. Follows a woman who goes to the US and struggles to learn English.

What I've seen I've loved. Old boy blew me away. Ip man & the Host were great too. Saw more but buggered if I can recall the names. One with a particularly gruesome girl in it.....

Korean war movie about two brothers who end up on opposing sides during the war.

Pretty * good from what I remember.

Try "Man on High Heels." Another Korean bloodbath with an innovative plot. Korean filmmakers are just the best, hands down.
