Phoned the mates who are going and mentioned this very I knew they where looking gers tickets thou they said not a hope getting any extra tickets for this one because there's alot looking them and can't get anywhere. Even from people who live there. Supposed to be a holy day aswell they where saying and something about pubs not being open. Don't know how true this is. Probably some * winding them up

No wind up Nov 1 is all Saints Day. Most shops will be closed for sure but not sure about all the pubs though. From memory they don't open until about 6pm on that day. It's possible exceptions have been made for the game but I honestly don't know if they will.

Fee other mates pulled out when they heard this lol. Sitting drinking smoothies or tea away watching the Celts in Europe doesn't have the same feel as other away trips :(

Just spoke to my German mates over there and although a holiday, there is no law that says the pubs have to remain closed.

Even if the German pubs were closed Holland and the Dam in particular is only a short train ride away and cheap travel. Fair few guys are basing themselves in the Dam and travelling into Gladbach late in the afternoon.

True, just checked with Mönchengladbach City council there should be no problem in having a pint or two.
All bars and pubs can be open to the public.
But supporters should respect that this is a catholic holiday.

I usually just get my tickets through Deutsche Bahn if I'm travelling to or within Germany.

Probably be a change or two from Brussels though. Probably in Aachen just across the border I'd imagine.

What kind of times do trains and stuff stop or is there a website I can check. I will be wanting to get from Dortmunds stadium back to Dusseldorf Airport after the Dortmund V Sporting CL match next Wednesday? Just wondering if theres less transport at that time of night, game is due to finish about 10.30pm or is there more trains and stuff on when theres a match?

There are plenty trains running at that time of night. I'm sure that your match ticket covers transport to Dusseldorf too as it's in the VRR. My brother lives there and I got transport the last time I saw him.
