Best ever atmosphere at Celtic Park?

Last night was obviously a brilliant atmosphere and another great european night at Parkhead but was just wondering what everyone's opinions are on the best atmosphere they can recall at a match at Celtic Park? A difficult question as there's been so many great nights.

 

When ten men won the league.

 

The two that stand out for me are the Barcelona 2-1 win in 2012 and the Last ever Derby in 2012 also 3-0. Those two for me seem to have been the loudest with the most constant singing.

 

funnily enough i was thinking of 10 men won the league and also Real Madrid QF of European Cup. I wasn't allowed to either because i was too young and they were both midweek but my dad was raving at the atmosphere at the time, just to rub it in!!

 

I can only speak for the matches I've been at, but the best atmosphere I've ever experienced was when we beat Spartak Moscow on penalties to qualify for the 07/08 group stage.

When this question has been asked before the 4-3 win over Juve tends to win out, but I wasn't there. :-(

 

people tell me Valencia too was superb,even though we went out.

One of my favourite nights ever at Parkhead.

 

karagandy was a brilliant night was as loud as Barca.

 

I thought the 3-0 game in 2011 (Hooper x2,Commons) was even louder.

First time the full stadium done the huddle too

 

Might have been, I forget too easily. The 2012 was more of a party atmosphere as well as the League was won and we were belting out the jelly and ice cream and Craigy Whyte and Liquidation and that songs.

 

When we beat the huns 3-0 in Lenny's second (?) home derby was epic. Edit: KRS beat me to it. Great game for numerous reasons. Izzy's cross for Hoops!!

Place was * jumping last night though, heard 2 old guys on the way home (must have been 70s/80s easy) saying that was the loudest they'd heard Parkhead in decades.

 

The 2012 liquidation party was 90 mins of pure joy, but there wasn't any tension whatsoever, we could have lost 5-0 and still been celebrating.

The EURO nights tend to feel better and be less hilarious.

European nights at Celtic park are by far the best atmospheres. Last night was the best it's been in a few years. The noise during come on you bhoys in green , Let the People Sing and Moussa Dembela was deafening.

Barca was good... A bit surreal being there
Benfica when we beat them and qualified first out our group.

But qualifying agsinst shakter hary-scary had a brilliant atmosphere ...

Dramatic finish - looked like extra time until James forest did his thing!

There was a proper party atmosphere in the main stand where I was !

This for me. The we shall not be moved in that game is probably the loudest I've ever heard us.

The Barça game was unreal as well but it didn't seem real and I was steaming. The game was an amazing blurr.

 

this always comes up in question with my english pals when asking what the best atmosphere at parkhead has been. The first one they always say is this game. I don't ever remember it being a good atmosphere bar the goals, there was too much tension and it was noticeable. Bar the GB the stadium was very flat especially if you compare it to last night.

As said Barca and Juve but as am an old * Nottingham Forest, Sporting lisbon, Ajax (not under MON although that was good as even though we lost we qualified) were all good nights, even those rapid vienna *, from what I remember :icon_mrgreen:
