Aren't those who work match days agency workers? (Kiosk, security, etc.).

It's a disgrace anyway. If this is public knowledge the club should be shamed and reminded of where we came from

Didn't hearts manage to get shot of the zero hour contracts? Or was it the living wage?

Its not really understand to comprehend. But if you're struggling I would advise you to enroll yourself into a English course or something.

I've told you it's a fact because I know it is, believe it or not I don't care but I wouldn't waste my time coming on here to tell lies.

Students & school attenders are happy enough with the zero hours contracts.

Students, people still at school, single parents, carers and people who want a second job would all benefit from a zero hours contract.

The problem isn't the zero hours contract, it's when companies abuse it, then it becomes a problem.

Zero hour contracts are supposed to be mutually beneficial. The company can choose the hours they offer you and the employee has the right to decline any hours offered without penalty.

Now I worked for USC as a supervisor and USC is owned by Sports Direct and while I was not on a zero hours contract at the time myself, I saw with my own eyes how a zero hours contract can be abused.

    Some examples:

The place wasn't busy so they sent people home from work after they had turned up.

Phoning people an hour or two before their shift telling them not to come in.

The worst one and the biggest abuse of a zero hour contract: Telling (not asking) employees their hours for the week and not allowing or even asking the employee to turn the hours down.

Not granting a holiday in the above situation when an employee couldn't work that day (not like they should have even had to ask)

Disciplinary action against an employee not turning up after the above situation.

Cutting the "offered" hours for a few weeks to an employee if they didn't work the hours they were told to.

This is how zero hour contracts have a bad name. It's not the contract itself, it's the employing company abusing it. It's supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement, it works fine if and when it is but often it's not.

Have you ever heard of Celtic being a company that abuses the zero hour contracts their employees are signed to? I haven't. So where's the problem? Or are people just seeing "zero hour contract" and thinking of companies like Sports Direct then going on a crusade?
