If he does well after his loan we would be looking at a right few quid to make the deal permanent.

Though I get your point CQN are generally quite well informed and I don't think they would just make up things.

Would be a cool signing, but do we need him? Would stop playing/development for Dembele and Griffiths.

Sounds like bollocks but I would take him, as said though he's either gonna displace Griff or Moussa or be on the bench, which I can't see him wanting or us shelling out the required fee for a backup player.

No thanks. Average player who has gone for millions for some unknown reason.

He's also fell out with Rodgers so doubt it.

Borini would be another excellent deal, and we'd basically have an unstoppable side. Off the bench he's been a good impact player. Good pace and direct, he'd be good to watch and he'll run all day, plus experience. He'll train really well and someone like that could be just what we need.

For the money he'd cost and the wage he'd be on we could get a much more effective attacker on the continent. He isn't a goalscorer and isn't technically amazing. He's a hard worker but we don't pay good money for hard workers.

Anyway this is a load of nonsense surely. Can't see him playing for Rodgers again anytime soon.

Always liked him, he has a bit of everything.

Think his problem is consistency though, but I do think he would be good here and would become a Samaras like figure.

He seems to have the tag of a big game player - Swansea's run up to the play offs, winning a big pen in the play off final, scoring For Roma in the Rome derby, double against Inter Milan.

At Sunderland he's scored in the derby vs Newcastle, an 88th min equaliser vs Chelsea in the league cup, then scored against Man Utd in the semi and opened the scoring in the League Cup final which they went on to lose.

Came onto a game late last season as well scoring 2 in Sunderland's last 3 wins to keep them up. Equalised in a 3-2 win over Chelsea and got 1 against Norwich.

Doubt we could afford him, but I'd definitely take him. Left, right or through the middle he'd do a job.

Yes, he is better than Griffiths, but I wouldn't spend too much to bring him here
