at 18 years old can only get better. Brendan could definitely getting him playing better passes out from the back. Would take him no problem for a small fee since he is nearly out of contract. We should be looking at these types of deals. Players on the fringes of things at huge clubs and persuading the youngsters who arent getting a look in to come up here for first team football on permanent contracts. The likes of Sandro from Barcelona and that Sergei Samper....good players not really making the grade at barca the now. Also the young croation winger. cant rememver his name. Looks a cracking prospect. went out on loan last year and played very well

I will never understand peoples dislike of loans almost looking down on them. I believe we have never used it fully to our advantage are we seriously saying we are too big to loan players? add to that look at the players we have loaned and haven't worked we are then not stuck with them unlike some who we have bought instead of loaning. man city and similar clubs have money to burn buying up all the prospects like Roberts who is a start turn for us. id like to see us using it much more getting the better players here to help because when we buy players they only stay a season or 2 anyway

 

Most of the news reports about him say he is highly rated and doing well in pre-season, I haven't seen him in action however.
