Which means massive congratulations to The Beatles (Raoul Duke), who have ensured European domination and overall BOTB 7 victory. Well done mate!

Commiserations to Oasis (Keano), who after appearing in a previous BOTB, Keano felt that Oasis' full potential wasn't met and he had a look through their back catalogue and threw out the big hits. Great job to get this far though, well done.

Thanks to everyone for participating and making it fun. Taz will be hosting the next BOTB. :50:

Well done Raoul. I have to be honest, i cant for the life of me understand how anyone could have given that to Oasis, particularly the 5-0.:56:

I mean im a fan myself, seen them twice, but no chance could they compete with those Beatles songs in the last group. As i said to Minty, just the opening bars of A Day In The Life were worth 4 alone.

Im sure Noel would happily take that result. Great effort Keano.

Congrats Raoul! Definitely stepped up in the final with the song selection (and in all honesty, there are probably another 6-8 songs at least that could have been used and still come out on top here IMO), which is what I was hoping and looking for here. :50:

Commiserations Keano. Did amazingly well to get all the way to the final, and had they been up against different opposition, it could easily have been yours. Although the final 3 Beatles songs were better overall, Champagne Supernova was by far the standout song of this Final.

And a big thank you once again to Minty, for hosting this. There is a lot thart goes into hosting this competition, kno from personal experience, and Minty deserves recognition for his efforts here once again.

In hindsight I think I could have maybe saved Wonderwall for the final(considering the margin of victory) to pair with Champagne, but at the time it was all about getting through.

    Congrats Raoul :50:

Said to Minty when I was voting. Love Oasis, definitely my favourite band. But sometimes I get a bit tired of hearing the likes of Supernova, DLBIA and especially Wonderwall. Obviously classic tunes, but I love listening to other album tracks and b-sides.

    The Fame
    Step Out
    Cloudburst
    It's Gettin Better Man
(You've Got) The Heart of a Star

...to name a few, but these wouldn't get you votes in BotB I'd assume.

In regards to the next one, it's up to Taz when he starts it. But he's doing Mafia atm so I don't want to speak for him. I won't be doing another BOTB for a little while.

The debut album round can be a bit of a *, I admit. I'm a big fan of RHCP and I felt so sorry for Slaw when I realised how hard he'd have it that round, as I wanted RHCP to go through. :56:
