Aye, he's still fondly remembered at Roazhon Park. They've always had that one great centre-half in a team, Rennes.

    Brown Armstrong
    GMS Rogic Forrest

    Not sure about this...

    * sake, no Bitton, Johansen or Commons.

Hard to see where our goals will come from without Commons, if he's not scored he's been supplying us in Europe.

Never going to happen. * shame as well, he was a massive part in the last time we beat Ajax at home.

I'm slightly interested to see who will play in their absence mate, I think I might be surprisingly surprised if there is no Brown either.

    I'd go something like:

    Gordon

    Lustig Boyata Jozo Tierney

    Armstrong Rogic

    Forrest Allan Mackay-Steven

    Griffiths

    or:

    Gordon

    Lustig Boyata Jozo Tierney

    Forrest Rogic Allan Armstrong

    Griffiths Cole

I wonder if anybody on here can help me? Myself and the brother are flying into Glasgow tomorrow for a funeral and thought we'd take in the Ajax game on Thursday.

I went online to buy tickets from the Celtic FC site and chose seats in the North stand. When i got to check out it states that as i am a new client i can not purchase tickets for this game, only existing clients.

Anyway around this, or what's the chances of just rocking up to Celtic Park on the night and getting tickets?

    Hail Hail!

You will be able to buy tickets on the day I think. It won't be a sell out.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I thought as much judging by the attendances for the Fenerbache and Molde games.

Are tickets the same price at the gate and would there be a good chance of getting a fairly decent seat with a view?

Think Scott Allan could and should get his chance on Thursday (although he should've been played more before now to see how he does).

We really lacked a decent forward pass in the game against Molde at home, and for me, that was Allan's strong point at Hibs. Can spot a pass and always looks to move forward with the ball. Not great that we have to be forced into rotating the team but it's good to finally see a variation on the first 11 for an important game.

Not really caring who is in the team as long as we win.
We have to do Ajax because i think they will beat Molde in Amsterdam so we really need the win on Thursday.
That would allow us to draw with Fenerbahce at least as long as they lose to Molde on Thursday.

Hope your right above there and that Brown is fit to play. From the sounds of things it does not look too good in that regard and with Biton and Johansen already out that really leaves us short in there. I imagine Rogic would move back alongside Armstrong if Brown cannot play as seems most likely to be the case.

With the personnel out needed for Ronnys system why not try a simple 4-4-2

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Simunovic Tierney
    GMS Rogic Armstrong Forrest
    Ciftci Griffiths

That's good news, but he'll be nowhere near match fit and when you're Charlie you can't be a yard short in a game like this.

Mulgrew takes a good few games to get upto match speed, not one to be throwing him into from the start. Definitey have him on the bench though.

Mulgrew won't in the team unless we need him in at CB for Jozo or Boyata.
