There was one incident in the second half that just screamed out to me that this guy isn't a player. Molde played a long ball over our defence into the left back area and one of their players chased it and got on the end of it. Blackett followed the guy down into the corner and had him walled off from getting near the goal, all he had to do was hold the Molde player up and try to stop him getting a cross into the box. Instead of that the Molde player knocked the ball past him into the box and just breezed by Blackett as though he wasn't even there. All of a sudden the Molde player was right in on goal with only Craig Gordon in front of him. * shocking defending.

He didn't even look bothered that he was having a stinker. He's either useless or he thinks playing here is beneath him. Either way we should just punt him back down the road to Old Trafford.

He genuinely made Boyata look solid tonight worst individual performance I can remember in recent history. The first goal he played a clearing header to the edge of the box there was another one as well he had acres of space millions of time the crowd even shouted time he completely flapped and the ball came off his head and ran to a Molde player

 

I can't believe he's had a run of games for Man Utd. That was Du Wei level. That incident at left back when he was strolled by then he didn't even try to recover was pathetic.

He's either absolutely awful or he's expected to come up here and stroll it because he's a Man Utd player. Players far superior to him have struggled up here.

I can't remember such a bad individual performance as Blacketts tonight? Literally all i can think of is Du Wei. Dragged all over the place and did not have a clue. I know its not his position but have to agree with the comments so far, he shouldn't play again.

I got furious when this * was signed and though that it was a symbol of how the board is taking the * and going always for sub standard players. I sadly was right. Considering that Boyata isnt good enough for Celtic either and Simunovic apparently is the croatian Boerrigter, we would need TWO center backs in January.

 

Its true, I cant think of any either even Du Wei I cant mind looking that bad it was more we lost to a pishy lower League team kind of like Berget who never played that bad but just played in a game he was classed as * for.

Blackett actually looked inept in about 5/6 individual moments where you were bewildered that he even knew what he was doing.

 

If I wake up tomorrow and this thread has been moved to ex players I'll be the happiest man in Scotland.
