You've not really read what I wrote despite feeling the need to respond.

They (Southampton) will not be near 7th this season..

I Didn't compare VVD to Larson... I was highlighting the fact that we'd never hold onto somebody like him these days - yes he enjoyed it at Celtic and gave 7 years but that's not going to happen again. English clubs want our players, but undervalue them because it's Scotland... ( imagine one of ours going free to Barcelona at end of contact ever again? Neither do I ) Although they still want them for the EPL ..

I live in England - celtic are seen increasingly as a feeder club and Southampton ( and Norwich) are always the ones linked. Just because business has been done before doesn't make us obliged to sell.

I'd dispute the statement that "we need to sell players"...

Not due to finances. Pressure from buying clubs and players wanting away.. Yes.

But that's only highlighting the imbalance between Scottish and English football.

If we play the way we did last week we will be advancing without question.

Two lucky goals, we never deserved that scoreline, that's all it was.

    Kind of feeling the same.

The magnitude of this game is incredible. If I was a player I'd be jobbying my pants right now.

I was confident before the last game and I'm confident about Tuesday, were simply better, man for man, all over the pitch. Not to mention the players know that silly, avoidable, mistakes on our part gifted them goals. We all want this, everyone connected to the club, the players in particular, in a way it was good to get a few mistakes out the system whilst playing them cus now we know, if we didn't already, that we have the better team.
I think every Celtic player on Tuesday will go out and give everything for the shirt and we will destroy them as a result.
We are soooo much better than we were last year it's night and day. We're good enough and ready for the CL. :shamrock: :50:

I haven't even began to think about how I will feel if we don't qualify. Last year I was able to accept it, I had actually accepted the minute Neil Lennon resigned that Champions League football would be unlikely the following season.

I will find it a lot harder to stomach this year though, champions league football is imperative for us if we want to grow as a club and I think we are more than good enough to be competitive in the group stages with our current squad, providing we don't get a * of a draw.

The game on Tuesday will be tight as *, there's no doubt about that. I'd be very surprised if we come out of the blocks like we did on Wednesday again, there's absolutely no need to as we're ahead in the tie and technically don't need goal. I think we'll keep it tight the way we did away to Qarabag but with a view to counter attacking at any chance possible because their defence is shaky as * and there's no doubt in my mind we'll get chances against them, we just have to take them.

It might be extra-time by that stage. That'd be brutal to wake up to.

Leaving the game on wednesday I felt like we might have * it by letting that daft goal in but now starting to feel confident again.

Avoid defeat and we're at the promised land.

9 players got a rest at the weekend and should be fresh, whereas they played their full-strength XI and got beat.

We're better than them, just need to show it again.

There's a place called local. Sometimes goes by pub, bar, club. You can order many knock out beverages which should do the job.

Starting to feel confident about tomorrow now. That late goal last week was sore but watched them at the weekend and they look ordinary.Heading down to Gatwick in the evening the out to Copenhagen in the morning. Let do this Celtic!

Really buzzing for the game. Like everyone else, was * off on Wed night, but now on Monday, really confident we can do it. The players got rested which is good, but at this stage of the season, they should be fit anyways. But at least resting them means we do not have to risk any injuries.

Hopefully we go there and start fast and score early. That will settle our nerves as well as the players. I think malmo are probably thinking/expecting us to sit back and defend. But its likely Deila will be sending out an attacking team. Think we can win this came 2-1

I think we'll be OK on Tuesday, I feel pretty calm about it.

We shot ourselves in the foot last week. We had the opportunity at 2-0, and again at 3-1, to just keep the ball, drop the tempo and kill the game. Instead, we tried to force the play too often looking for the next goal and allowed Malmo some momentum.

It's admirable that we were still looking to attack and score goals, but it strikes me as being really naive in a knockout tie.

If we play it smart, we'll be fine. We have a good 'keeper, a decent defence and two good players shielding them. In front of them, we have plenty of energy and pace that can hurt Malmo on the break.
