Probably still the same as the last thread on this subject.

Its actually good when you get into it, drink it straight or mix it with about half water. I didnt start drinking it regularly until about a year ago, now sometimes im sitting midweek choking to have a few :smiley-laughing002::52:

That wee warm glow you get off it and the taste I think you get used to when drinking it on its own.

Its not like vodka which tastes like hand sanitizer, least its got a bit of flavour.

Whisky. Glemorange La Santa and Talisker are favourites. Glengoyne is another nice one I tried, did a tutored tasting at the distillery tour. Ended up pished and spent too much money on a cask strength whisky. It was fantastic but it got me absolutely blootered.

    Vodka for me.

How can * drink Whisky, it just tastes like paint stripper to me. Anything that high in alcohol does.

I couldn't tell the difference between own brand muck and expensive Whisky, it's just that strong.

A Jack Daniel and coke is alright when you're drunk but that's bourbon, isn't it?

Whenever I hear that word I think of Malcolm Tucker saying "Unleash the Kraken." :56::56:

Drambuie and whisky knocks you sideways if you drink too many.
Oh well that's me ruled out then , I will be prepared for my nephew asking for a gin next week, when Im visiting, and we go out :smiley-laughing002:

Vodka mainly, started drinking gin & tonic quite a lot recently though.

Always end up having some whisky as well, none of that American pish though. My mate tries to slag me for getting gin then he goes up and asks for a Jack & Coke. There's not a gayer phrase in the English language than "can I have a Jack & Coke?"

At least call it Jack Daniel's, it makes you seem like a bit less of a hipster.

Your taste will change, I used to hate it now instead of opening another bottle of red I'll have a couple of whiskys instead. Love it now.

Vodka, dark Rum, Sambucca, and at a push, Bacardi.

Whisky is * rotten. The smell of it turns my stomach, the taste of it unleashes what lurks in my stomach.

Saying that, I used to drink it straight in my younger days.........

    Jack Daniels.

I've started drinking whisky a lot recently though. Must be an age thing.
