I was over for the Ajax game in 2013, 15k or so Tim's apparently over at the same time. Unreal. Best 3 days of my life:56:

Good few Irish pubs around the centre, we went to one called Durty Nelly's mainly. As for 'cafes' we went into a couple but I couldn't tell you where abouts they were, one was near a burger king, that's about it.

    How long you away for?

Been twice but only for 2 or 3 days so really cant give a defenite guide on where you should go man but my best policy was to just throw yourself into anywhere you fancy going in the dam just dont stay where you have a bed for long just explore round all day sure have the sun aswell!

Wasnt us at all it was the girls we were with got dragged to the bannana club I think it was called but anyway you go to one stripclub youve been to them all ie its all a bit * surreal and * tbh so if I'd give ye one bit of advice its objectifying * and dont waste your cash!

When they say don't eat the whole box at once, don't eat the whole box at once. And don't camp. And don't eat the whole box at once and then camp.

Amsterdam is class. Been there 4 times, last time being the Ajax game.

Don't do what I did and smoke a spliff on a hangover, has the potential to * your whole day up.

Removing the hookers and green, if you get nice weather it is a cracking city.

Nothing much better than sitting next to the canals with an ice cold Heineken.

I've been quite a few times. The food can be very dear. Get yourself to BurgerBar, best burger I have ever had. Works out around the same price as the usual kebab place * outlets you see everywhere over there.

The drink is expensive too. Look out for the Albert Heijn near Dam Square. It's their version of Tesco. They have a large one at Dam Square and a few smaller ones. The large one has a Gall & Gall beside it. Massive off licence that can be quite cheap with offers etc. There's a lot of happy hours on in quite a few bars.

The Banana Bar is great craic. Its 40/50 euro for a hour. You pick a glass going in. A pint glass for pints or smaller glass for spirits. I drank my moneys worth on Jack Daniels and Coke. It's an extra 50 for the show, this can be split between your group. Then every girl does a different show/trick with the group.

Beautiful place. Can't offer any advice on cafes, but there are a few good restaurants. I can't wait to go again.

Was the worst away trip I've ever been on in my life, the atmosphere and tension in and around the city for the day before and day of game was horrible, but I suppose that's football.
