Against my better judgement I believe Ronny will be given a decent budget to strength this summer.

We've already added quality depth by spending a couple of million on Armstrong and GMS.

I'd like to think Ronny will be able to go out and spend 3-4m on a quality centre half, even if that means he's pairing with the likes of Wilson - if Ronny sees something in him.

Likewise with a striker who could make use of the chances we create in Europe, but I always feel it's far more risky with a forward as we've
    seen with Skep.

If VVD goes for good money you'd hope we could reinvest in 2 quality players as we have depth but are lacking those who will take us to the next level on Europe.

Finding someone of this quality willing to play on Scotland is an issue, but the centre half from Brugge for example is the level we should be aiming for.

    Cautiously optimistic for this summer.

In total he will spend less than what we receive for VVD

I would expect about 10 million I'd be ok with that.

Personally think He'll be lucky to see the fat end of £4m and that's with VVD going and getting rid of the likes of Zaluska, Derk, Pukki, Balde & a few more.

The boards ambitions don't extend beyond "hopefully" qualifying for the CL but they also seem happy enough with the Europa. I just don't trust Peter to do the right thing when it comes to properly reinforcing & strengthening the squad.

His old adage of being stronger after a window than before it doesn't ring true because every season we punt our top talent and take an age to adequately replace it!

I think he'll get £3million then an extra £4-5million if he makes the UCL group stages.

After all he got the money made from the EL knockout stages and bought SA and GMS.

EDIT: Hopefully we spend significantly on contracts as well. Gordon, Johansen and Bitton to name a few.

He'll get nothing till transfer deadline day where he'll be aloud to spend 1 million on players, and told that he can bring in a few bangers on loan

    Under £3 million.

    We'll bring in around £15m.

    3-6mill

Told today there is a possibility of Gordon leaving at the end of the season as he hasn't signed a long term deal, can someone confirm?

I read we're looking at some * * from the Spanish league again.

I am fed up hearing the old

    We pushed some buttons
    We made some enquiries
We couldn't get it over the line
Player didn't want to come to us
    Too many agents involved
    Guy didn't like haggis
    He wasn't a Celtic minded

    Etc etc

I come to expect our managers to get little or no funding every transfer window I always expect a big name to leave

    2012 - Ki £5.5m & 20% add on
    2013 - wanyama £12.5m & 20% add on and hooper £5.5m
    2014 - Forster £10m

We might sign some absolute bangers no one has ever heard of but I do expect at least 8 going out the door and by the way Ronny is talking not many coming in tbh.

I can see another situation like last summer after Maribor game where pedro has to come out to say we don't have a big pot of money etc etc it is season boom renewal time and I don't expect anything more or less than the same * we have had over the last 3 summers to happen will be VVD sold for £10m then hope we scrape through and Ronny might get £2m on deadline day to by some * up striker he has never seen play and then he will end up out on loan somewhere for the 2016/17 season.

But ye never know am I being to cynical....
