It really was wasn't it. As you say he started the move and boy did he finish it. Almost had the match ball too when he hit the bar from the free kick late on.

Good performances all over the park, a 4-0 win and really Motherwell were lucky it was only 4. Although we didn't get an early goal our speed of play was good from the first whistle and you always felt it was only a matter of time before we scored.

You got the feeling too after the third goal went in there was a real boost in confidence throughout the team. So hopefully we can really kick on from here performance and goals wise.

Good win and back on top of the pile, with a game in hand.

Motherwell done what other teams do and stick 10 men behind the ball. They persisted early with Sutton further on but eventually he dropped into a position 30 yards from his own goal. Never in my life have I seen a team play so many backwards passes.

Biggest difference between this game and Ross County the other week, we took some of the chances which we created. Game after game we've created chances and not taken them.

Gordon not a save to make. Van Dijik (FGS yet again) and Denayer snuffed out any hint of an attack. Matthews and Izzy(1st half) played advanced and mixed up overlapping with under lapping to good effect. Then on came "The Tache"!!!! He was supreme!!! Took his goals well and was a threat for the full 2nd half. His diving header was a thing of beauty. Lustig and Izzy on either side destroyed Motherwell.

Bitton carried on from his display against Hamilton. Worked hard, won the ball and played the passes. Brown likewise, plugged away and kept the ball moving. Commons was on the periphery of the game (in my opinion), couple of nice passes mixed in with his usual bag of shooting instead of passing and vice-versa. Not as good or influential as he was at Rugby Park.

Stokes worked well with Izzy again. With Izzy underlapping and leaving him as the wide man, the rotation and Ainsworth not being defensively minded gave us good success down that flank. Two fine deliveries for the goals from Stokes. His decision making can be sketchy at times but his part in the Griffiths goal was superb, got the ball out of his feet and delivered (not over thinking about whether to take the man on or cut inside looking to score).Johansen (like Bitton) was solid if not spectacular, unlucky with the header and carried out his usual performance.

Grifitths took his goal well. Prior to his goal it looked like another frustrating night, not down to his performance but the suffocating of space by Motherwell. A fine header on the end of Stokes cross 1st half and unlucky with a fine wee turn before firing over( could also have squared it for Scepovic unmarked).

They got slightly more adventurous for 10 mins, by that I mean tried to close us down up the field. It failed and resorted to type. Best chance of the game for them came when Brother Madden missed a blatant foul on Izzy, with the lad skelping the outside of the post. Poor a Motherwell side for some time.

Overall a good performance could easily have been double the full time score. Hit the tin on 3 occasions and Johansen had a good chance from close in. Players(and fans) get a bit frustrated at times, to eager to play the pass or pick the wrong option. Important that they remain patient and don't force the issue. Eventually that will come good and hopefully it's on Saturday against Ross County.

We owe them an absolute pasting for the antics they displayed the last time out!!!

On nightshift last night so just watched some highlights. What they showed looked like an awesome display. What the reports are saying it could have been a lot more, hitting the woodwork 3 times. Its the first game I have seen us create so many chances against a team that was sitting in for a while. On that display I cant wait for the next game.

Forgot to say this on Wednesday but one of the things I was really impressed with was out mid to long range passing.
