Best celtic goalie over the past 14 years?

Forster easily.

Artur Boruc. It's not even close for me.

 

Boruc was the most talented, but il go with Forster as Boruc made far to many stupid mistakes especially nearer the end of his celtic career.

 

Boruc easily, he was arguably the best keeper in the world at one point. Forster was good but had too many flaws in his game.

 

The holy goalie for me but high hopes for Gordon.

 

We had some real * keepers

 

For me definitely Fraser Forster. Credit to Craig Gordon for what has been a superb start to his Celtic career. If he can stay injury and keep this up for 3-4 years then I would say he could give Forster a run for his money but right now Forster it is for me.

 

For me I think it would have to be Boruc then Forster, but the way Gordon has settled in and with some of the amazing saves he's made already, I don't think it will be too long before Gordon will be classed as better than Forster for us.

 

Boruc, Forster, Gordon and Marshall are all excellent goalkeepers. We've done very well in that respect.

Boruc was perhaps my favourite goalie in a Celtic jersey. Not just for his acrobatics and exceptional ability but for the fact that he * hates the huns and didn't hide it. Legend.

 

Probably have to say Forster as his saves have kept us I a lot of games during the time he was here, he was magnificent, Gordon has been fantastic aswell since arriving

 

Boruc is my favourite over that period. Most of the time here he was phenomenal and one of the best in the world, and he just didn't give a * about what people thought of him. Probably is the best as well.

Said before that we have been very lucky to have had the keepers we,ve had recently.
So in my nearly 60 years of watching Celtic I'd have to say the best I've ever seen are,Boruc,Foster,Gordan and Simpson.

Now if my auld man was alive he'd say The Prince,and just maybe,he could be right.

 

Tough one to pick between Boruc and Forster.

Both were pretty sound technically in terms of goalkeeping attributes. Polar opposites in terms of personality. Boruc had a couple of mistakes towards the end more down to mentality which Forster tops.

Although Forster never scudded a penalty into the top bin in a shoot out!!!

Personally I would take Forster over Boruc.

On the discussion of goalkeepers, we've missed the boat on a few over the years. Given because he was "too small", Friedel and Guzan for others reasons. David Marshall was a big one as well. Obviously it would have been difficult to predict how well but he did show signs of potential.

Marshall,McGeady and Kennedy in the same team for years would have been great to see.

 

Gordon Marshall. The way he handled that Motherwell * bank in '96 was sublime. Celtic then went on to win the match...:icon_mrgreen:
