Saw Canada under 16s versus England under 16s when I was in Canada about 12 years ago

    Was actually pretty good

Used to watch the NHL sometimes around that time as I into American sports, Tampa Bay Lightning were my team

Always admired Sweden for being good at both hockey and football.

As opposed to sitting freezing, usually in the pishing rain watching 22 guys boot a ball around a football park?

    The main difference between ice hockey in Glasgow and football is the following for me;

    1. Indoor arena as opposed to football park. You can basically sit in at a number of decent food outlets before the game. Ample parking, shops to have a look at and so forth.

    2. They actually sell beer in the venue. That's right, you can sit on a padded seat, not getting rained on, and drink a pint whilst enjoying the game.

    3. You are actually allowed to stand up, clap, chant, heckle the players, heckle the officials and so on. Believe it or not, the louder you shout and chant, the better. They actually encourage this kind of thing, unlike football.

There's no jobsworth just waiting on you clapping too loudly so they can give you *.

    4. Players aren't going down at the slightest tap on their ankle. These guys are knocking * out of each other and coming back for more.

I can understand why some folk aren't in to it, but it certainly can't be bashed as an actual fan experience, because in that respect it's * miles ahead of football in this country.

They actually seem to give a * about the paying customer.

Love Ice Hockey, go to Flyers (Fife not Deebo) home games most weeks, and away games against the Scottish teams. 60 minutes of fast paced, hard hitting ice hockey is fantastic. Even better when you get a decent scrap too

Was gonna write something very similar. Football could learn a lot from the hockey with regard to how they treat the fans and the match day experience.

If you can do it . Get there .

    Canadiens vs. Bruins .

Growing up and playing hockey my whole life these two are my favs . When they play one another . Pure hatred .

Seen them at Boston Garden and the old Montreal Forum .

Hockey is my favorite sport .

Like all tha The rock music played frequently and the mad food voucher give always.
Had the kids with us, they were pretty impressed with the dancing subway sub roll and the two mascots :celt_2:
A very different experience.like they only allow hockey tops and no other sports.
Living in Belfast that means a lot, for a family night out

You can wear football tops in Braehead or anything, seems a bit mental banning people from wearing certain things but it is Belfast I suppose :smiley-laughing002: The playlist at the games is quality, Braehead's goal music is the best and abusing the goalie afterwards always makes me laugh. Chuck a puck is quality as well, see about 1000 foam pucks being launched at the mascot on the ice :smiley-laughing002:

I trust being from Massachusetts you are a fellow B's fan. Love watching us play the Habs, except in the playoffs haha. Always a good physical game.

Not exactly comparible to the Garden but I love the atmosphere at Fife when we play another Scottish team, especially Dundee. I honestly think our barn has the best atmosphere in the league. its 70+ years old, old fashioned, noisy, and hostile for visiting sides. If it wasn't for our home games theres no way we would have made the play offsemi's last year and I think the fans played a part in that
