That's the £16 million question (or whatever Champions League qualification money is).

What we shouldn't be doing is shrugging our shoulders after performances like last night (and in Europe for the last few seasons) and think it's in anyway acceptable because Celtic scrapped a 2-1 win at home. Or to merely accept that FC Astra, Karagandy or Maribor etc are the teams we should be bench-marking ourselves against, and then calling it being 'realistic'.

I can remember watchin the tommy burns team and every game wither we won drew or lost I came out of the ground happy with the football we were playing. We were a fast attacking side who played great football . Not like this side who don't seem to know what they are doing.

What should Celtic fans do? Form the Sons of Stein and parade up the Celtic Walk, some non match day and put envelopes in through the door . Set up a trust in Hartson and Sutton's name and urge all Celtic fans to play next year's Season Ticket money to the trust . Have green card , red card and black card displays . That will have us spending £20 m a year on transfers and a CEO earning £100k .
Sure that has worked well in Glasgow before . Funny too many seems to think that European football after Christmas is a Celtic right We have been spoiled the past 12 or 13 years before that we missed out on European Football after Christmas for 23 years. We are really down sizing and since we employed our CEO, things have really gone to *.

Nobody is saying last night was pretty and full of good football , but there were things that didn't help either team and Celtic in particular . Thursday had exceptionally heavy rain all day on Thursday and it continued throughout the match . From early on the load groans and moans from the drenched crowd more than off-set the valiant attempts of the G Brigade to bring a positive attitude into the stadium . I think in recent times the Celtic players would probably prefer to play away from home . Best fans in the World perhaps but not the best supporters .
