    Hi guys

Got a first date coming up and need suggestions on good venues for lunch in the city. I don't eat out in Glasgow so I haven't a clue. The style of cuisine isn't too important.

    Cheers

If you see it going anywhere then The Sisters in Kelvingrove is meant to be spectacular.

    If it's a quick pump&dump then Nandos.

Nandos as a first date is surely up there with McDonalds and the ilk?

If it's over drinks and very casual, I'd say a place like the beir halle.

If it's fancier, and want to impress a little then try fratellis, la tasca etc.

Bar Soba in Mitchell Lane is class, noodles/Japanese food etc. Cocktail & Burger on Sauchiehall Street if you fancy a burger and decent drinks or Max's Bar & Grill on Queen Street

Amore on Ingram Street near merchant City is nice, great food.

Plenty nice places in and around merchant square, plus a few pubs and cocktail bars too.

The fact he's asking for ideas means he's more than likely looking for this to go somewhere

Stick with the better ideas Che :86:

Come round to mine. I'll cook you a lovely bolognese and charge a reasonable fee for cork service. Get her into the bedroom and smash her back doors in. All I ask is that I can stand in the corner to watch.

Would recommend this place, you get 2 large pizza's for a tenner and they've got tons of different beers to try although some of them can be a bit pricy.

La Vita on George Square is brilliant if Italian food is your thing.
