Šćepović for the groups. Guidetti for the knockouts. #RoadToWarsaw

How can some people not be excited about Eruopa League? We get to play teams other than the SPFL dross!

    Exactly, I can't wait.

Even more so if we get Guidetti confirmed.

While this squad is still in transition, I'd fear for us in the CL...I think we'd get embarrassed, I'm not all that unhappy about being in the EL. I think it could be a good learning curve, as it was for Lenny.

Since we kept Virgil I'm a lot more optimistic about this. I'm looking forward to seeing Wakaso on the left, Scepovic up front and McGregor on the right.

Starting to adjust to the thought of europa league football, and after a semi-successful transfer window (possibly great but depends on the swede) I'm hoping for a nice we run in the competition.

Can't help but think about seville at times like this, but was also thinking that before we got skelped by falcao a few years ago.

Do you by any chance have anything to do with Legia Warsaw by any chance?

Not sure if we'll get away with playing Forster and Wanyama in our upcoming game.

They're team are full of a lot of highly valued players.

Way ahead of myself, but started wondering about this. How does the round of 32 draw work? I believe that's when the 3rd place Champs Lg teams drop in.

Is it that if you finish 2nd in your Europa Lg group, you're drawn against a Champs Lg team, while the 1st place teams play each other? No idea, just threw that theoretical scenario as an example.

Trying to understand the ramifications of finishing first in your Europa group vs. finishing second.

If it is the same as previous seasons, then the seeds are the twelve EL group winners and the four best CL third placed teams. The unseeded teams are the twelve EL runners-up and the four worst CL third place teams. Seeded teams away first.

In the last 32, group winners and the four third-placed sides from the UEFA Champions League with the best records are seeded, guaranteeing they will play the second leg at home. Teams from the same group or the same association cannot be drawn together.

In effect if we win the group then we will be seeded, play a second placed team from another group or a team dropping out of the CL.

Thanks Mill and Lion. Definite advantages to finishing first as you'd expect, not least of which is having the second leg at home.

Got Lustig, Benaglio of Wolsburg and one other and we have the three musketeers. Fkn mad face hair going around.

Maybe add big Zlatan to that, that's the 3.

Haven't seen the rest of our group discussed much since match day 1.

Dinamo Zagreb 5-1 Astra. Just saw the highlights. Soudani scored a hat-trick, all from balls in the air (one was a corner). Two of his goals were pretty good headers.

    Astra's defending looked very poor.

Wish they hadn't scored 5. Get the feeling Zagreb and Salzburg are going to make the battle for the knockouts fiercely contested.

Really hoping that we can beat Zagreb at home in 2 weeks, that would set us up nicely to qualify.

Salzburg v Zagreb double header will be interesting, hopefully 2 draws or failing that 2 Salzburg victories.
