Ah, right. Not so good then. I'd probably start Boerrigter then.

I'd play that but replace Stokes with McGregor. I'd also like to play Pukki up top as I feel he would be the best at holding the ball up, seems to be a stocky wee *. However I can't see him starting.

Stokes was dreadful yesterday. The goal was the only positive thing I remember him contributing. Can't say I'd be overly confident in starting Pukki or Berget either, though.

We looked far more solid against St Johnstone when Kayal came on. Not sure if that's down to the opposition being knackered or down to 10 men. But we looked to have a much better balance with 3 players in the middle of the park, and 3 further up.

you should not come to slovenia looking for goals tbh. if you open up at ljudski vrt the legia disaster will repeat itself from what i've seen from your team.

Away from home, need an away goal but also need to be solid. So i think setting us up to counter attack is the best option. Maribor are in front of their fans, so they will be urged to attack.

    I would go:

    Gordon
    Lustig Ambrose VVD Izzy
    Biton
    Johansen Kayal
    Forrest Berget/Pukki Derk

Unsure as to if Berget or Pukki should play the lone role, might find out more against Dundee United if Berget plays again and we see how he does.

Would keep ambrose as far away from this game as possible. Same goes for Stokes!

    Gordon
    Matthews Lustig Van Dijk Izzy
    Johansson Biton
    Commons
    Forrest Mcgregor
    Pukki

Subs: Zaluska, Denayer, Kayal, Henderson, Mulgrew, Stokes, Boerrigter

The only thing i would like to change in this is for matthew to drop to the bench lustig out right and denayer in the middle but i think denayer has to get a gae on saturday to prove he is up to scratch

100% agree with that. And this isn't some anti-Stokes bitchathon...I just fear like * if he is the best we have in this preferred formation, in the first of 2 games worth 20 million quid. In fact, it leaves me petrified.

Ambrose doesn't even need an explanation. I do think Deila saw enough against Legia, despite being very nice about it in the post-match interview.

If anyone's interested, Maribor's Twitter in English - https://twitter.com/nkmb1960english. Not sure if it's just me who can't find it, but they seem to have everything else in their language, which makes it quite hard to follow them.

I'd rather two games didn't define Celtic from now on. Legia caught us cold; we were woeful. We'll move on and we'll aspire to get back to the form that saw us topple Barcelona less than two years ago. If you think we're going to be pushovers or play for anything less than a win in both legs against Maribor, think again.
