IF we get passed St Pats/Legia Warsaw in the next round of the Champs League, what teams are we likely to face in the Play off's?

The play-off round is not drawn until after the 3rd QR is completed, so there is no way to know who we will be up against.

We will be seeded though but you will have to wait until the 6th August for a more definitive answer.

    EDIT

    It definitely won't be...
    Steaua Bucharest
    BATE Borisov
    Red Bull Salzburg
    APOEL

As they are seeded with us in the top 5.

There are some higher ranked unseeded teams like Legia Warsaw, Dinamo Tbilisi and Maribor that are in danger of crashing out tonight.

Luckily for us some of the 'better' teams have been drawn against each other in the 3rd Round.

    AaB v Dinamo Zagreb
    Malmö/Ventspils v Sparta Prague
Maribor/Zrinjski Mostar v Maccabi Tel Aviv
    Dinamo Tbilisi/Aktobe v Strømsgodset/Steaua București

Those first 3 have been drawn against 3 of the teams we can't possibly meet.

Yes and if they beat them, we can draw them. So they are possible opponents.

Yh, was just pointing out that 3 of the most dangerous unseeded side will be going out or replaced. :50:

Potentially anyone apart from the 4 mentioned we can play but if they were knocked out obviously another 4 will replace them.

    Got you. :50:

I'll be happy enough with any draw there. provided it's not Aktobe. The sacrifice of that sheep almost cost us last year. :smiley-laughing002:

Would like to avoid any Israeli and Ukrainian teams for obvious non football reasons.

Don't think many would travel to Ukraine if any. Israel obviously not that dangerous but you have the chance of some dafties that think Celtic has something to do with the Palestine/Israel debate causing unneeded bother for our club.

Would really like it to be AaB actually, never been to Denmark.

No Ukrainian teams in our side of the draw thankfully - Israel home games are to be moved elsewhere.

Ukrainian and Russian teams kept apart as well.

Yh you are quite right about dafties etc but I'd imagine the Palestinian community will be desperate for the draw - given our fans natural sympathy to their cause and because we have both an Israeli and an Arab in our team.

There is not much to see in Aalborg (fourth largest city as I remember) so you don't miss a lot of things. On the other hand I think Aab will be an easier opponent than Legia. The danish league is not that strong at the moment. FC Copenhagen is playing like * atm, Brøndby are still developing and everyone else are really not worth mentioning.

When talking about FC Copenhagen and Ukraine. FC Copenhagen will have to play against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk which are located pretty close to the eastern part of Ukraine. No planes can take them there and the insurance companies don't want to cover. UEFA told them for some days ago that the match will still be played in Dnipropetrovsk which a lot of people are talking about at the moment in Denmark. Dnipro wrote on their twitter account for some hours ago that the match will be moved to Kiev but of course FC Copenhagen would like to be as far as possible away from Dnipropetrovsk because of the home field advantage they otherwise will have. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Two of the three Donetsk teams have moved their home games in this season away from Donetsk. Shakhtar will be playing in Lviv in the western part of Ukraine which will be interesting to see how that will be.

If someone shows solidarity with Palestinians at a Celtic game, they're a daftie?

If the only time they ever do it is at a Celtic game then yes they are.

I hope if we do draw Maccabi Tel Aviv that our fans make a statement.
