I don't know if anyone else noticed it but when the game ended and i was jumping around like a loony, i said to the Mrs "Wait till this wee * Nicholas comes oan i bet he will try and put a damper oan it." Sure as Christ his first words were along the lines....'Great performance ALBEIT against a weakened French side".....Is it just me or does anyone else get the impression wee Nic is always bowing to his sky paymasters when talking about Celtic or Scots football in general? He always seems to put a negative slant on any good performance by either side.

 

i get the impression hes a little *. he just spouts * constant. hes a wannabe mcnee

My tartan army mates hate him because he said Scotland were * when Berti was in charge when Berti was in charge. I also said this at the time and said he should be sacked over a year before he was when it was obvious he was a *. They said he shouldn't be sacked.

He gets it right sometimes but he does come across as a smug, cheesey, arogant, selfsatisfying, turncoat, unintelligent, no banter except "i drank a lot when i played for Arsenal" *.

Alan Hansen is the same, but at least he can analyse a game, unlike "our" Charley.

well a think hes decent, and i didnt hear anything along the lines of "by a weakened french side". I heard him sayin "but we have 3 tough games ahead" and am not bothered by that because hes just not gettin carried away.

 

he dosnt have a single good word generally to say about scotland or even celtic. arsenal that, arsenal this,
Id say he was dissapointed last ngiht cause the french have laods of arsenal players

if hes a * ,why do u scour the world press to read his comments ,and by saying "he never has a good word" suggests u read his words all the time

or is it just bad press u read

 

a bit over the top there i think,,he says how he sees things and he does say things positive when positive things happen ,hes a pundit thats all ,what he says isent set in stone,

but he does get us talking about it ,,i.e were doing it right now,,lol thats what i call a good pundit

I'm going to stick my neck out and say my opinion of him has changed recently. I saw an article where he said that he was harder on Celtic than other teams, because he's a Celtic fan. What shortcomings he might overlook in another team he won't with Celtic because he expects more. Fair enough. I think I do the same in my own way. While I can show an objective appreciation of the relative strengths and weaknesses of our rivals I would likely be more critical of Celtic because I want so much from them. For some people that's just how it comes over.

 

That was the point i was trying to make, he does come across as an *, but sometimes you have to hear what you don't want to hear. Like when Berti was in charge we were *.

I do think he is hypnotised by the EPL's money though and that it is the best league in the world. But i hate to hear a pundit flag waving for his country/club. I prefer honesty.

Never liked charlie nicholas like it has been said hear no matter what we do or how well we do it he never has a good word to say about celtic and it really gets to me!, although i cant say the same about last nights game didnt see the end of it.

I think what annoys me most is that the guy was brilliant for us, a class striker. He was idolised by the fans when he played here. I am not against him criticising the team when a performance merits criticism and if it's constructive criticism. If the team plays well in a big game against European opposition then for Christs sake let us the fans enjoy the moment, don't throw in negative comments for the sake of it....If the team plays * then is the time to off load on them, that's all i am saying regarding Charlie boy.
