    I said Griffiths.

I think he's proven he can perform at a high level.

I take it Balde having a 'deft' touch is sarcasm?

    What level's that then?

He wasn't even trusted to perform for Wolves in the English Championship, hence why he was loaned out to Hibs as he was deemed surplus when they were in that league.

The same league that Hooper outscored Andy Carroll in for relegation fighting Scunthorpe.

Not at all, at times he does have a surprisingly deft touch, it'* and miss, which is why we do need to 'smoothen out the edges' as I said up there. He is a strange player, a loan move would be the best for him.

100% stand by that, Stokes was the stand out player for the last 4/5 months of the season. 13 goals in 13 games and 7 assists. That is * excellent by anybodies standards.

    Leigh Griffiths for me.

Purely down to his goalscoring ability, without doubt the best finisher we have.

First time I've heard somebody say that.

He's one of the worst players we've had a the club technique wise.

He was also poor for months on end prior to that. I'm not doubting he was excellent in the run-in but to suggest he was "much better" than Griffiths is lunacy.

I'm saying from the moment Griffiths came in he was much better. Which he was.

I also don't think he was poor for months on end prior to that, I think he done that job that was asked of him and he done it very well, the team was shaped around Commons and Stokes job was to make room for him, a lot of Commons goals came off the back of clever movement from Stokes, to let Commons get in there beyond and into the space in the middle that was left there by dragging centre backs about.

At the end of the season when Griffiths came in he got moved to his proper position, where there is no doubt he outperformed Griffiths.

Anyway best striker at the club is probably Griffiths. Stokes won't do anything for Celtic in the champions league. Bit like Commons, scores goals domestically but embarrassing going into Europe with him as one of your main attackers.

Again, Stokes was excellent when paired with Griffiths and I'd agree he was better but to suggest he was "much better" is nonsense. Makes it sound like Grif was poor or Stokes was Batistuta :smiley-laughing002:

It only does if you are wanting to it to say that, I'm saying that he was much better than him at the end of the season and I fully believe that, outscored him, assisted more and was generally everywhere to be found on the pitch.

Griffith's was good, Stokes was much better. You don't need to be Batistuta to be outstanding in the SPFL.

Griffiths, scored and set up goals and considering he had just joined a thought his general play was excellent. A wouldn't say Stokes was heavily better.
