I think it's a realistic assessment, whilst we may not concede many I'd argue that's down to the opposition in Scotland's failings (St.Johnstone game comes to mind, they were carving us open at will at the start and should have scored 2 or 3)

In Europe under Deila we've conceded 40 goals in 26 European games, that's inclusive of games v part-time cannon fodder in the qualifying rounds.

There's that many I was bound to forget one. I get the feeling Ronnie is not a fan of Commons though.

I think 16 is a good number to cover all eventualities, so maybe get a couple more.

I agree with you to an extent but if we take yesterday for example, and this has happened loads.... All our goals weren't from getting caught with a high line, edge of the box and lack of awareness and concentration * us, even down to 10, goalie rugby tackled and the third was the worst of the lot in terms of easy-ness in splitting us when we were chasing the game anyway. I know it's not always the case but we weren't exactly gung ho with our backline. * defender's and lack of option's and leadership are hampering us at the minute..

I know what you're saying mate, and I do agree we have at THOSE crucial times, especially in Europe, been found lacking in defensive awareness - but I'd definitely say we're on our way to at least fixing it somewhat with Sviatchenko coming back in, as well as the return of Broony which will be absolutely vital.

Thomson and the red card absolutely killed us yesterday - we were out of the traps on the big pitch and got a goal within minutes, totally deflated them, until of course THAT happened......

I honestly don't think we have a garbage team, we have some half decent players. The problem lies with the manager, hes pretty much hopeless at all aspects of being a manager. We get a guy in who can organise the players, and motivate them we will be fine.

p.s im not this other guy, you think I might be.

Like you're going to admit it :smiley-laughing002: I believe you though. It was too obvious that post Tim Time is referring to. I don't think he'd be that mental.

Although you do have the same way of talking about Ronny. I mean you can't seriously say he's a hopeless manager in every aspect.

Wrong buddy, but then again am not to bothered about picking up on any *
    Grammar

  15. Swervedancer Guest

Well, * you off for a start :smiley-laughing002:

He's also good at developing players and making them better, Griffiths, Forrest, Bitton Rogic, McGregor etc.

He showed againt Ajax, Fener and Inter last year he can set the team up to perform well. Reaching the last 32 of Europa in your first season is no mean feat.

    A well placed grammar CH4

You make it sound like it's a * quality :smiley-laughing002: Forgot to mention Tierney, an amazing talent he's managing well.

I also said he knows how to set up teams well in Europe. You not biting that one? I should also add he also has had some bad games in Europe. But he can do it. Domestically last year and the league this year he's been good but no one gives him credit for the Scottish game. I bet it's quite hard to handle the pressure of having to win the league and expecting to win one cup.

The misconception he makes players better.

Is it not more that we have fallen so far from grace that Bitton can look like our best player sometimes and when in the same form would look average in a Lennon squad.

Don't get me wrong I love the big man but the only improvement I see are his long shots.

The only one deservedly on that list is Griff now that is indeed a player improved but imo the only one.
