    Tell ye wit.

If you're that offended by me posting and feel the need to start everytime a seem to post in Celtic chat. Mute me or message me and tel me whats your problem instead of just flinging wee digs in with nothing to do about the thread or the post.

I really don't have a problem with you apart from the constant quoting and accusations most of the time. But if you're happy enough to keep doing it fair * to ye.

Casino, this is a * for tat argument and one of you has to break the cycle. Since, as you can see below (I have multiquoted the entire argument), it was initiated by you accusing some of our fans of not being very bright, could you please make it you? It's just that you and Sean both make excellent points about the thread topic when not arguing and it's such a pointless argument.

If he wants to keep accusing me then fair enough to him. Got nothing against him apart from the wee comments and accusations. Would actually love to hear his reasoning for it but he's a joke and won't even accuse me outright.

That's it, you both asked for this, so don't blame me:

    This is my gripe too.

If we raked in £100million we'd go out and buy 40 strikers at £2million each in the hope that one of them would turn out good, instead of which we should be going out and buying one £20million striker who would almost certainly be a hit. Doing things the way we are doing them now just means we end up with is 39 strikers who are dead wood and a drain on our resources. It really winds me up.

(Obviously I'm being facetious with the figures but you get my point.)

He's going to appoint some ex-Celt with little to no real high-level management experience and if we're lucky we'll have a similar experience to NL and if we are very unlucky albeit very typical we will have another John Barnes/Tony Mowbray type experience. Thats my own pessimistic view but hey let the * good times roll *

I think we tried to do that, mate. It's just that the £5m strikers (let alone a £20m striker!) don't want to come. By the time we've been rejected by the first names on the manager's list, what's left is Pukki etc.

See the thing is lawell gets away with murder people are quick to slag and point the finger at managers this man has much to do with the failure of the club as the managers previously!

He never invested when we lost the title in strachans last season and left us in a really poor state! We sign willo flood to strengthen our team and we lose a title
! Then comes in Mowbray appointed by lawell the team needs a revamp players leave mowbrays has to pick up the pieces again lawell tightens the purse we lose another title and Mowbray takes all the flack!

For all the good this guy does for the club balancing the books etc he gets away with a * load of other things and I don't mean his dirtyness of getting fans banned etc more on the basis of spending money and losing titles he's just as much to blame as anybody else but nobody mentions it while he pockets himself a tidy wee bonus!

I actually hate the guy with a passion you can't help but laugh at his wee digs with the former club rangers etc but beyond that he's a snakey wee * who doesn't want to spend any money and sell off our best players as "fast" as he can! I strongly believe Lennon was forced to make himself leave after a meeting with this *! We are in the best financial position for years and there's no money ? We need to sell off our best? Even though they admit they would like to stay!

There's only so much balancing of the books you can take with this *! The books should be balanced enough and have enough money from previous sales and European money etc to put in a high bid for a player or two plus increase our best players wages! We all know we play in the spl but why not secure a future for this club by keeping our best and having a right go in Europe? Where's the * money going lawell????

It took them years of spending to get in some state were only asking to buy a a quality striker maybe one who has potential to be bought at 4 5 million and be sold on for 10 hopefully!

We spent so many million on diddys like balde pukki etc when we could have spent half that on one player who we knew could replace hooper! Hardly going to liquadate us when we have guys like Forster and VVD being spoke about being sold off !

I think the safe option is to approach either Keane or Larsson. They would both be interesting choices.

If we go with Larsson, we might need to get a Caretaker until his current season ends in November, this could be Peter Houston.

I,ve kind of got mixed views on Peter Lawwell, even if I dont understand how he can be hated by some of the fans...He has a job and in that respect is doing it very well.

On the one hand, yeah you need a business strategy that fits the market your in...We are already taking a gun to a knife fight in that respect.

However, I,ve also got a problem with the quantity over quality thing with signings, my simple head tells me for Pukki, Balde and Derk we could have got a top class player.....I DONT blame Lenny for this as to me its obvious it down to the wage structure and not the fee.

£5m fee isnt the problem for me, its the wages a £5m player would command and thats the problem I have with PL; sometimes you just need to have some balls and say this guy deserves top dollar.

Either way, agree we need to get this done right and QUICKLY! No fannying about PL.

Things ain't right put it that way. Crowds sparse, people seemingly getting papped out for eff all. Team not moving forward on the park, despite huge transfer fees coming in and 2 years CL money and a manager who loves the club jacking it in.

People are assuming that these £5m players would be willing to come here and it seems to me they mostly aren't. The one we all know about that turned us down is is Finnbogason, but I doubt Pukki was even our second choice.

Think the paper at the time had him around fourth choice.
I can understand players from the big leagues like spain, germany, france not wanting to come to the splsplfpl.
But why the * are we not shopping further away, there must be plenty of very good player out there dying for a move to Europe and then to the epl mega league.
Does anyone know how many scouts we employ and where they do most of their work.
