You can't deny that Ciftci is much better at holding up the ball and assisting than Griffiths, need to actually give the guy a chance.
Also a big physical striker who causes problems constantly for defenders.

It's all very well mate, but if he isn't scoring or assisting and we have a guy on the bench who does...

I've not given up on him but Griff is doing the business just now and apparently Ronny wants people to earn their place...

Very true, Griffiths does deserve to start against Malmo. I'm guessing Ronny wants Ciftci to either be his main man in Europe or settle into the team faster instead of waiting until his ban is up.

I wouldn't want him back either. He's done nothing since leaving, why would you want him back? Ever think we maybe got the best of his career and lets be honest he wasn't exactly a work horse now was he? If he hadn't played for us before and Lawell signed him with his record over the past couple of years everyone would be moaning.

I would much rather we brought fresh blood to the club and dream he may turn out to be the next Henrik than bring back a player who we know is at best average.

I would like to see Griffiths and Cifcti play together upfront against Malmo and they would get goals for us and cause Malmo problems instead of one up front.

He worked really hard, linked the play up and scored a * load of goals. He is probably Ciftci and Griffiths rolled into one, which is what we need.

He hasn't exactly been pish since leaving either has he?

Kept out the Norwich squad by Van Wolfssomething but always seemed to do the business when brought in by all accounts.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat, although I'd also love a JVOH type striker.

John Guidetti was much superior to Hooper. I just wish he bothered his * and screwed the nut to be honest.

Van wolfs winkle was out on loan all last season and he still couldn't get into the squad. Was kept out of by a group of average strikers.

That rings a bell. Was Lafferty not one of them? :smiley-laughing002: Must have really fell out with management.

Doesn't mean he's become a bad player though, just needs to kickstart his career.

We're talking about not being able to get into a Norwich side here which is well off European standards. I think we got the best he's capable of. Some think he was a hard worker and some think he went missing for long periods in games. It's all about opinions I suppose. But what we all know is he can't get into a side that we would rip apart. That says it all for me so it's a no thanks.

    Would Hooper
    A. Just be able to walk into the squad?
    B. Be the same player for us that he was?
    C. Take a pay cut?
    D. Actually still think he has a chance to play for his Nat. Team?

I think he'd be great for us if those weren't issues but I think they would be.
Also Cifcti is playing cus he is good but mostly cus he needs game time I think. Although by this point Griff should def start on Wed.
