Great comebacks first by Mayo and then Kerry. I always had the feeling Mayo would not win unless they managed to rack up a pretty big lead. keegan will get to play the final now if Mayo make it.

Dublin/Donegal will be rubbing their hands in glee with their final opponents having to do another lap.

On the negative if Mayo make it they will have Keegan back.

Keegans card would of been discarded even if they won I'd say

With the amount of time in between the games and before the actual All Ireland final is played I don't think todays semi-final being a draw is that big a deal.

The replay is next Saturday in Limerick so the winners will get another game under their belt and still have the same rest as the winner of the other game. Mayo actually want the game postponed to the following week and played in Croke Park.

I love them. It's still at half 8 in the morning here in the Rockies, and I need my rest. :icon_mrgreen:

As to the extra game, I'm not so sure. Teams that have played a lot of games this year, such as Wexford in the hurling, and Armagh in the football, fell apart in the end due to exhaustion. Rest periods are essential at this point. They should all be match fit, anyway.

    * terrible that the replay has to be played in Limerick, to accommodate the inferior and * sport like the NFL.

This is why if * hate the GAA top branch, it seems everything takes precedent over their own sports these days!!

The possibility of Dublin/Donegal draw has a contingency plan which will see the match played at Croke Park. The possibility of this outcome has taken precedence over the actual outcome of the first semi.

The GAA know they will fill or at least nearly fill Croke Park if Dublin and Donegal need a replay. They make more money by switching the Kerry/Mayo game which should take a close to capacity crowd to Limerick baring in mind the Kerry fans will not have far to travel.

    Donegal V Dublin sold out
Mayo V Kerry nearly sold out
Over 120 000 tickets sold and why the GAA played the replay in Limerick. Its all about money.
