Aye it's a strange way of trying to motivate someone, hurling abuse at them and telling them they're doing a * job :smiley-laughing002: he might well have been but he seemed like the kind of lad who would respond better to an arm round the shoulder rather than the hair dryer. The lad obviously didn't have any interest in working in a sandwich shop but wanted to do something.

Should have just told him to stick his apron up his shiter.

Aye I felt sorry for him an all. Just seemed he lacked a bit of confidence. A bet they were payin him a pittance an all.

A mind ma first job, I was workin in a similar sized business. Used tae stroll in mid-mornin still half-cut from the night before, go down into the stockroom and lie across some boxes. Once I spent an entire day cuttin up boxes and sellotapin them together to make one GIANT box. Fiver an hour. That's the sort of job you want at 16.

That conversation with the guy with the ponytail was embarrassing. Typical booze fueled conversation that could have easily escalated into a fight.

''You seem like a nice guy but...''

That * didn't even know why he was putting up the posters. Probably one of these left wing anti establishment types. Sad seeing him on the streets of course.

He probably has his reasons but he clearly didn't explain himself very well. To be honest, I reckon he does it for the rush of getting away with it, nearly being caught and stuff like that. There should be designated areas for street art and things like that though imo. Some of it around the City is actually quite cool and more attractive than a plain brick wall. Like the wall along the last stint of railway line before you get into Central Station, just at Bridge Street I'm sure. There's a cracking big display, "welcome to Glasgow" with different things from the city all around it, it's massive and looks really good. No doubt it was done illegally but art like that around the city would be cool and adds something different.
