Stokes and Pukki

Well they were missing bojan, plus they paid more for sigporssan than we did for stokes and pukki combined, he just had a bad game. They also have victor Fischer who's one of the best young players in Europe. We are definately weak up front.

 

I dont wanna compare the two because this wasnt the issue but since you brought it up: Pukki, started 6 games 2 goals, Stokes, started 10 games 4 goals. But enough of that, the issue was the passing game. For example, "Hesus" Samaras can do what ever the fok he likes and get away with it, cause he's "special". Last I checked football still was a team game.

Granted that Pukki has had a some chances that he should've capitalised on but to be fair (like I wrote earlier) if you make 50 runs and get the ball once or twice, it's gotta be frustrating. On the other hand at this level you gotta make em count every time.

That said I agree that Pukki has some learning to do but In your opinion only Pukki?

And Sean, wasnt blaming the club, just annoyed with some of these tossers and their "football knowledge". Celtic is a great club, with or without Pukki.

 

Stokes has scored 5 this season and set up more I believe, including two for Pukki. In Europe Sammy has a job for us that he does extremely well, he won't be asked to change that. He is a player in our squad who makes a big difference on these nights and it was the same when Hooper was here, who would capitilise on those chances when they came.

We have our faults, every team does hut he needs to settle into our style. He seems tidy enough and clever enough to do so and he has had more time than most before fans wrote him off believe it or not, I like the look of him he just needs to learn how to play with our team and quickly. If he gets close to Stokes he'll get goals.

I have to agree. Hooper had a poachers instinct in the box and so have many of our previous strikers, we are needing to replace that.

Unless Pukki or Balde settle in and become that player.

They are too similar, their best play is outside of the box. Need to bring in a goal scorer in January or next week.

The partnership is not working for me.

 

I think they can become one given time... maybe.,

 

They actually linked up well today, not to Stooper levels but if Pukki put away the chance Stokes made for him everyone is happy.

He's starting to settle in a bit more now, we just need it to click for them.

 

And this is the main problem sadly.

 

Stokes-Balde please

 

Pukki needs more time..

 

The thing that puts me off a Stokes Balde partnership is that'll turn in to a lot of optimistic punts up to Balde in hope he might knock it on to Stokes. Don't think Balde and Stokes will show much nice link up play.
