He has 41 goal in his career out of 159 games (so far) over eight years of football.

Hooper got 63 goals in 94 games in two years here.

    Against the same defences.

Against the same 11 men behind the ball tactics.

    Something Pukki failed miserably at.

In fact, Hooper also did it in the Champions league and with competition from Huns and in Hun games.

Pukki was and is *. That's the end of it.

I think it's a bit of a myth that Pukki is a good player who couldn't quite hit the heights he was capable of hitting due to being shy/unable to hack the pressure.

He's an average footballer. He's never a goalscorer at any decent level either.

Mate you talk wan load of "shait" dont start insulting all my good fenians. Pukki is * mince deal with it. He misses a couple a chances and ends up in a deep state of depression so even if he is technically better than some strikers hes not mentally better than any of them so whts the point?

His goalscoring records actually really good for the game time hes got at teams.

For Schalke he scored 8 goals in the equivalent of 11 matches in the Bundesliga. For us he scored 7 goals in the equivalent of 13 matches in the SPL. For Brondby 5 goals in the equivalent of 7 games. In Europe he has 7 goals in the equivalent of 11 games. In the Spanish 2nd Tier he got 3 goals in the equivalent of 9 games(when he was 18).

Its very interesting to follow Pukki's career. He has so many facets in personality as a player.

He is not talkative. He's not only shy but I think playing football is his way to show people what he can do as a person. Such people are sometimes very intelligent players. They think more than talk.

At big clubs like Celtic fans are expecting that strikers should be big outgoing persons like Guidetti. Pukki is simply different. He's a special case.

I have seen almost all his goals in his senior years and there is always a piece of intelligence in there: goals from narrow angle, sudden shots between the legs of defenders, goals from surprising intercepts and take-aways, some nice goals out of nothing.

He goals aren't mostly usual ones but he needs intelligent players around him because he's not very physical and big. Most of all, shy players like him need managers who understand them.

Jyllands Posten wrote about him the other day as follows:

"He finds himself in dangerous places all the time. The Finn is like
Jon Dahl Tomasson, one doesn't know what he's good at.

He is neither fast or physically strong. He doesn't shoot hard, and he is not a dribbler, but Pukki's goals against AaB were ones you rarely see in the Super League."

It's very interesting to see what will become of him in two three years of time if he is allowed to play regularly.

Mate, the problem there is you've just described Henrik Larsson :56:

He needed to be better than he was for us. That's the bottom line.

He's an insipid, uninspiring character. He's found his level at Brondby.

Celtic fans demand more than Pukki was able to give.

think he would have been good last night as a hard working attacking midfielder/right wing forward better than mcgreggor anyway not that i dislike mgreggor but i'm not convinced by him at attacking midfielder/right wing forward position think he would definately be better in a central midifield

First goal is a clever finish, but poor defending.
Second goal he finished well (terrible defensive error) but if he didn't score he'd probably have locked himself away in his bedroom for a few years, that's why he never would and never will make it here.

Any normal professional striker misses a good chance, they get annoyed for a few seconds and then strive to score their next chance. Pukki, on the other hand, slips into a state of major depression.

I would've expected most Celtic fans to be manual workers, but it seems you guys are all professional psychiatrists instead. Have to say I'm impressed with these awesome diagnoses!

Then again, I guess anyone living in a place like Glasgow is bound to be very familiar with severe depressions of all kinds. :)

what a load of * , where did you get that from ? Larsson was quiet and humble , Hooper was probably the most introverted striker ever . Messi is quiet and shy , Torres in his liverpool days . Big clubs do not require there strikers to be " outgoing " , just to do the business on the pitch .
