I'm actually very interested in why you believe, in that context, it is racist.

Why is using the words '*' or 'Chinky'
    wrong?
Yes, definitely! * and Chinky are racist
words no matter how, when or why they are
used. Even if these words are used to describe
a local shop or take away, the words still have
    racist meaning.
These words have been used as weapons to
hurt people, and make them feel different,
unwelcome and not valued. Both words are
connected to racist attacks, racist groups and
racist incidents which makes them both
extremely hurtful and offensive, and hte
people who these words are directed at will
    often feel frightened and threatened.
Sometimes people use these words as slang
words and have no intention of hurting or
upsetting anyone. However, if you had
experienced this word while being shouted at,
or whilst someone attacked you or tried to
hurt you, would you want to hear it being
    used?
It may also be said that the word * is
simply short for Pakistani, or that Chinky is
simply short for Chinese, but because of the
way these words have been used, they have
    become damaging, hurtful and racist.
Lastly, many people who are called these
words are not actually from Pakistan or China,
so often people are being judged on their skin
colour or appearance, plus, ask yourself this –
do the people who use these words usually say
them when they are inside the shop or take
    away? If not, why not?!

C&P from Show racism the red card as I'm on a phone and it would take an eternity to write an essay on the subject.

    * is racist, I never said that at all.

Chinky isn't, chinky is just a shortening of the word. Always been told that off of the members of my family who are Chinese, the word '*' they take extreme offence to and view that in the same view as the word '*', however people always forget about the context behind the meaning of statements and that is what truly differentiates between what is racist and what is not.

If I called someone a Chinky *, yes, but the word Chinky does not have the same racial connotations behind it that words like 'gook' or '*' do and I'll thank you not to try and paint me as some sort of racist because you don't read into the context behind statements.

I know you never said *, that part doesn't apply here.

Yes and I've never been took offence at.

Like I said, any Chinese people I know don't think it's offensive. It's the phrase * they do and it's a phrase that would never pass my lips.

Nah, evil was invented before capitalism was :icon_mrgreen:

Mostly for power. Some folk are just * lunatics though and have no meaning behind their evil doings.

No, it's not. Chinky is a word that Scottish people use to shorten the name of Chinese.

Think about the context behind matters is all I'm saying before you brand people racist.

It's similar to how the Hun's think but they don't think * is a bad word so what's wrong with * *. One is wrong due to the context, the other is not.

It isn't. Some people just enjoy being offended on behalf of others.
