    BBC Sport:

Cardiff have made a £6m bid for Iceland striker Alfred Finnbogason. The 24-year-old scored 28 goals for Dutch side Heerenveen last season.

I'm sure someone said this would happen. How the * can a side newly promoted from the Championship get him ahead of us? :54:

The Premier League have sold the domestic broadcast rights from 2013-16 for £3.018bn, with BSkyB and BT the two winners.

    --------------------

SFA chiefs have secured a new £60million TV deal. But, as a result of the package, none of Scotland’s competitive games between 2014-18 will be shown live on terrestrial TV.

Teams being relegated from the Premiership get more money than what our entire TV deal is worth.

    Fitba's *.

The Cardiff rumor is true. Sporre, our chairman said that Cardiff contacted Heerenveen to tell them about their interest in Finn. Heerenveen told Finnbogason that he is allowed to speak with Cardiff if he is interested. If he is not, he still can sign a new and better contract at Heerenveen. They would still like to keep him, but every player has it's price.

Cardiff is aware of the fact that Heerenveen really want the number they are asking for. Maybe they will drop a little, to about € 9,5 million.

We will see. He has been a great goalscorer, but we can not let that kind of money go by.

In June, you would have signed him for € 5,5 million. Now we are asking nearly double, only 4 games and 6 goals further. Friday is the deadline by the way if they want him. We need time to get our selfs a new striker, who i'm sure will be good again.

This ones gone. Close the thread.

This guy is a great striker but shelling out £8.5M is something Celtic wont do and I wouldnt want them to do.

Besides, Pukki has a better goals to minutes ratio in a far superior league playing in a better side.

Newcastle have stepped into the battle for James McCarthy as they look to beat Everton to the Wigan midfielder.

Wigan want at least £15m for the 22-year-old but both clubs are looking to open with offers of around £8m.

Everton ideally need to sell first while Newcastle are awaiting an improved offer from Arsenal for Yohan Cabaye.

Replacement: Newcastle are considering a bid for Wigan midfielder James McCarthy to replace Yohan Cabaye

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is steeling himself to lose the French midfielder.

Pardew told the Chronicle: 'You can't say he is definitely going to stay, so the mindset of the player is such that we need to be on guard.

'We are on the case with that. We have to be armed. We need to resolve it.

'If he goes, good luck to him. Bye, bye. We need to replace him with somebody as good.'

Sunderland are considering a loan for Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic, 25, as well as Ki Sung-Yeung from Swansea, while Cardiff are in talks with Heerenveen over a £4m deal for prolific Iceland striker Alfred Finnbogason, 24.

Yes "most" being the key word there lad. If you had watched Celtic that season you would have noticed he was great when played in the CB position. Who do you suggest we play as the CBs against Shakter son?

This has been one of THE greatest Celtic transfer sagas, no happy ending though I don't think.

    Is Robbie Keane available?
