I read somewhere we turned down £10m, then £10.5m but I really don't know if that's true.

 

This is the way I see it. I think PL would have sold him already and replaced him on the cheap if we were in the CL. The anger of the fans after non qualification.

PL could well benefit from his decision not to sell in the summer. If Virgil plays well in the EL this will drive up his value. His refusal to sell will also fool the EPL clubs into thinking he will only part with him for a decent fee.


Hopefully the upside for us will be a quality CH for the the Europa league. If he manages to get us out of the group stages their is a chance PL might replace him with a decent CH.

 

To be honest if a club like Arsenal comes in for him with a good offer..no point keeping an unhappy player he should be allowed to leave..

 

Can see why he's raging if he had the chance to join Arsenal!

 

Then he should not sign that long contract in the first place. What the * happened with players respecting their contracts?

 

Agents and the Bosman ruling have pretty much ruined the game.. It takes a special footballer someone like Henrik to keep his word when it comes to contracts..

The best we can hope for is a good sell on fee/buy out clause when doing business..

That's a very simplistic way of looking at it is costa rica the 5th-8th best team in the world?

 

As a team they may be they beat Italy hammered uruguay and took holland to penalties theres teams above them that couldnt do that. But holland are definitely worthy of the there position at 3rd in the rankings

 

Holland only beat one top team and if David silva scored it probably would of been a win for Spain looking at there squad it's really really bad atm probably because there all young but there is plenty of better teams out there

 

you cant just look at the world cup and say that wherever teams finished is now their ranking. It just so happens however that in the official FIFA ranking Netherlands are third anyway

Why should anyone believe this nonsense of Arsenal going to sign Virgil either in the window just closed or in January . Football media have to write and report something it doesn't matter if there is any truth in it . They know if they throw enough * at the wall some will stick .
