When someone says music I think of Pink Floyd, the best band of all time.

and the most amazing thing about those stats is that they hardly had any airplay on radio which in general at that time meant the band was going nowhere. or got the beatles. the who or the stones style media hype either almost all of there success was by word of mouth. that's the most amazing thing about it:50:

Don't understand how anyone can call Pink Floyd overrated. Can appreciate that people don't like them fair enough but to have an album like Dark Side Of The Moon an album considered a total game changer in music, a revolutionary album along with Sgt. Pepper Bringing It All Back Home, Music From Big Pink, Whats Going On etc etc and maybe possibly being the album that comes out on top of all of them?

Personal favourite is Meddle and have a huge liking for Obscured By Clouds, Whats uh the Deal is a perfect song.

Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound of Thunder became the first rock album to be played in space, when Soviet cosmonauts took the cassette of the album with them on the Soyuz TM-7 which was launched on this day in 1988. David and Nick were both in attendance at the launch, audio of which was recorded for potential future use on a Floyd project. Around this time, this apt image was seen in various places including tour t-shirts

Very cool cats. I mean how trippy is that, listening to Pink Floyd in outer space. Fitting for the band that launched a million space cadets.

Arnold Layne had a strange hobby
    Collecting clothes
    Moonshine washing line
    They suit him fine
On the wall hung a tall mirror
Distorted view, see through baby blue
    Oh, Arnold Layne
It's not the same, takes two to know
Two to know, two to know
    Why can't you see?
Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne

Now he's caught - a nasty sort of person
    They gave him time
Doors bang - chain gang - he hates it
    Oh, Arnold Layne
It's not the same, takes two to know
Two to know, two to know
    Why can't you see?
Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne

    Don't do it again
