Plus the effect varies from player to player. In the Barca game it clearly affected Song and (to a much lesser extent) Xavi (which is odd, because it was the 4th time he's experienced it); it had no noticeable effect on Messi, though.

Messi had a lot of chances he didn't put away.

Xavi, we handled him brilliantly. Ledley always made sure he was between the ball and Xavi. Forced him out wide a lot.

Juve won't be intimidated by the atmosphere, if we don't score. If we score first it might become an issue for them:)

I refuse to record games on the Sky+ box now.

Never seem to win when I do.

My team for this changes about 4 times a day. The only good thing about Ambrose not playing is Mulgrew almost certainly won't play midfield, which means Ledley will have more chance of playing.

I think the team will be

    Forster

    Lustig Wilson Mulgrew Izzy

    Brown Wanyama Ledley Commons

    Hooper Samaras

Maybe Samaras LM and Commons on the right.

    Hard choice between Matthews/Lustig

Even the bench will be hard to pick.

Zaluska, Matthews, Ambrose, Kayal, Forrest, Stokes, Watt/Lassad

Wonder if the King of Kings will be trackside?!

He only needed to turn up last time and it was a 9 goal fest.

The atmosphere inside CP is the main reason we have done so well against quality sides there over the years. It lifts the players and I know this phrase is chucked about alot, but it really is like having a "12th man". I wouldn't go as far as saying that the Juve players will get stage fright or * themselves, however for a good few of them it will be their first experience of a real proper atmosphere such as Celtic Park's and you never know how they will handle it.

Better players than are currently in this Juve team have came to Glasgow and left with their tails between their legs.

I'd be happy with Commons starting on Tuesday. However the problem is that he is the one player we might start with who has a tendency to be a passenger. The only other starter you could say that about is Samaras but even when he isn't involved he is an option in the air, works hard and stretches defences.

Commons can be a match winner but he really needs to play his part if he starts. Personally I'd keep him on the bench for the first hour but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to see his name on the teamsheet.

wow you celtic fans are hyped about this game, so are we! I have all the respect in the world for you guys as a club (unlike chel$ki). We had a lot of starters play 90 minutes today so im kind of worried about this game, i think its going to end in a scoring draw like 1-1. If we take the lead than I think we can even win

    buffon
    barzagli-------bonucci--------caceres
    lichsteiner---vidal----pirlo---marchisio----peluso/de ceglie
    vucinic-----matri/anelka/quagliarella/giovinco

wherever you see a slash im not sure who should start (however thats my preference in order) in that position, but everything else im quite certain about. Asamoah would be my starter on the left but hes away at AFCON like ambrose for you guys however his last game was today so im not sure he can play. Your atmosphere will not intimidate these guys (maybe peluso because hes never played in the champions league before). Hopefully we'll watch an entertaining match, and if by some chance you guys eliminate us, i'll be supporting you all the way

Unbelievable how sarcastic some of them are being:87: Acting like immature bellends'. I notice A Celtic fan went on, posted and immediately got treated like *. Cannot say I am surprised mind you, see it even on mediocre, mid-table EPL clubs' forums too.

Anyway, their laughable comments will make it all the sweeter once we beat them. :icon_mrgreen:

I don't think it's a fair reflection of their support.

Most of the lunatics on there appear to be glory hunters from outside of Italy.

Yeah I was thinking the same when looking at some of their locations and the way in which they were acting towards playing us.
