It's a genius plan - having the crash mats fitted internally means you can work out in any environment. :smiley-laughing002:

de Niro is in talks with my associates about the possibility of making a film about my life.

Not sure about it though.....he's a tad on the thin side :43:

The best actor would have to be Robert De Niro. Streep's lack of a * is a big drawback for her in this category and makes it almost impossible for her to win.

My money would be on Streep in the best actress category though. :86:

On the whole I prefer Di Niro's films, they have more appeal to me. But Streep is a phenomenal actress with astounding versatility and range. On pure talent, I vote Streep.

There probably is an element of truth in this tbh, but it not just the roles he's played, it's the performances he's given, the dedication and intensity he delivered in films like Raging Bull and Taxi Driver that's what made them great movies imo.

There's no doubting that Streep is a great actor and she's got the awards to prove it, but if i was judging both of them at their very best then i'd have to go for DeNiro.

De Niro for me just edges it.
As for Streep, in Kramer v Kramer i think Dustin Hoffman was far better in the film.
Steeep is a brilliant actress, though.

My favourite female actress is Jodie Foster.
First seen her in Candleshoe from 1977.
I was 13 and she was 14. Teenage crush. :52:

Joking aside mate, you have no idea how much i hated that woman.I was a victim of Thatcherism.Long term unemployed.I also remmeber her taking away school milk....that was the killer!

I havent watched the Streep film of her, but not because of that, im just not that into films so much these days.

I still cant believe she has had 19 Oscar nominations!!! Thats an unbelieveable nuimber.

De Niro, it's not even in question. The De Niro/Scorsese partnership was one of the greatest ever, Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull. Each one of these performances is better than Streep. The reason Streep has more nominations is that she picks Oscar roles and gets first dibs on most of the female lead parts in her age group due to a lack of genuine competition.
