Who would take desailly?

i dont want him he's too old and too slow.

we definetly need a new defender aswell as other positions with mjallby away. i also think valgaeren is toiling and john kennedy not back for a while we need a new CL class defender. i would take jiranek he had a couple of good games at euro 04.

what do you guys think?

 

Id take them both! Desailly is a solid centre back and would be a great leader aswell, I think he could definetly do a job for one season with us. I say if he's good enough for France then he's good enough for us. I'd also like to see Jiranek with us as a long term investment.

 

I'd take them both too. We have Kennedy who will become a great defender, but will take him a while to reach his prime. Desaily is already a great defender who's not in it for the money (ehem, Rivaldo) and seems to be geniunely interested in playing for us for the rest of his playing career, and Jiranek is another defender who is very good now, and at the same time will improve. Imagine a backline with Desaily, Bobo Balde, and Jiranek... :icon_eek:

 

i'd take them both too but they'd have to do something special to remove varga and balde from dead cert starts.

varga was class last season.

Well Desailly has stated on his web site that he has NOT said any of the things specualted but I don't think that rules out a move to Celtic - I'm guessing there is some truth in the rumour. We'll have to wait and see...

chelski have offerd him a coaching job, he's thinking it over the weekend.

 

we need a new defender but not desially hes to old,slow as a wk in the jail and his wages wld be huge.i dunno if hes retiered from international football but i doubt he'll be 1st choice for france anymore, he shouldnt hav been@euro 2004.
