Now if a company goes out of business it dies, and so does all of it's history

The campaign seems to be trying to pave the way for a RFC NewCo as it will “only” be a change of name and that Celtic did it first in 1994.

Right. Celtic never went out of business. The company that is Celtic never ended, it was bought and renamed because it went from a private company to a public listed company. That means the company which owns the license to play football in the SPL still exists and has done so since 1888. It can also choose to rename itself as many times as it likes to whatever it likes as it owns the footballing license.

What is happening to RFC is altogether different. Its on the verge of death. Kaput. No more. Its footballing license will expire and cease to exist when the company that owns it ceases to exist.

You can talk all day about the NewCo still being the same as the Old co but it wont be, because they have to reapply for a license and if you get one (you might not as several NewCo Rangers could apply) you most likely will be in division 3.

There was all this talk about weeks ago about a NewCo getting into the SPL, but I wonder if that ship has past given so much money is owed and the revenue streams have been severely hamstrung.

I knew the huns were stupid, but I'm honestly struggling to get my head around just how stupid they can be. We've clearly got to them, they're running scared. This is exactly the same tactic they use with the sectarian singing; protest innocence, then when that clearly fails try and argue that we've done exactly the same thing wrong. I honestly think they probably wouldn't care what happened to their club as long as at least as bad happened to ours. Defined by what they hate.
