I have iTunes for my iPhone on my laptop, and spotify on my pc so it doesn't take up memory.

I just use Windows Media Player. Do programs like Spotify etc provide much of a difference in the quality of playback?

I would have thought having good speakers was the key to getting good sound from your PC/laptop.

thing about spotify is that it has basically unlimited albums ect, you don't need to download the songs or albums, you can listen to them all for free.
