Aye, a 23-year-old with only one international cap who may well be crap here.

When we have shelled out big on transfer fees or wages, it's got us players like Fortuné, Gravesen, and Scott * Brown.

While the Larssons, Lubos, and Izzys have all been cheap. Seems to me our transfer policy is working very well at the moment.

big transfer fees also got us sutton, hartson, lennon and thompson so your point isn't really fair there. Of course your going to find the odd gem if you look properly but they don't have the same pressure on them as the higher transfer fee player.

do we need him, we got rogne, mag, mulgrew, k.wilson, loovens, victor and new boy lustig, why we wasting money on another player too sit in bench, mulgrew first choice central half now cause off his place taking ability, so we already got 4 players able too do grand job for us in spl. why waste money, we should be looking at free players come summer who we could sign like ledley and matthrews,

if he is a good solid centre half? then why not! adds more quality to an already good team.

Dont know anything about him to be honest but we need someone. Maj is injured, Loovens & rogne are injury prone and I fear K Wilson is too, Lustig made it pretty clear he prefers rightback and Wanyama is a cracking centre back is outstanding in midfield too. Doubt it will be a waste of money to be honest but Id like to see mibbe Loovens leave and a fit, good defender come in,

Only thing I know about the guy is that he partnered the ex-hun in CD for Algeria and plays down south - occassionally :icon_mrgreen:

For me, though, it's a no brainer! If he's good enough, i.e. as good as our current CB's (and of course I mean our best ones) or even better AND we can sign him on a free, or very close to free, then yes, he should be brought in!

Signing players like this is what allows us to push the boat out a bit for the likes of a Diawara or a Rhodes...

Having said all of that though, I really don't know the first thing about him... but as always, in Lenny I trust!!!

    Hail Hail

*just checked his wiki page - and yes I know the source is not great - but still; for a 25 year old, he's not played many games...

I don't see how a Fulham reject will be any better than what we have atm.

Martin Jol has revealed out-of-favour Fulham defender Rafik Halliche could be offloaded during this month's transfer window.

The Algeria international has made just two substitute appearances for the Cottagers since arriving from Benfica in summer 2010 and is yet to feature under manager Jol.

The 25-year-old is desperate for playing time and it appears increasingly likely he will leave Craven Cottage this month, despite being contracted in West London until 2013.

Halliche spent time on trial with Scottish Premier League giants Celtic last month, while Crystal Palace are also thought to be monitoring the centre-back.

Jol told the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle: "I've got five centre-backs - he's a good player but I haven't used him.

"He told me at the start of the season (he needs to play), and it's the same story now.

"There's a few options so we'll have to wait and see what happens."

yeah not for me. I don't know enough about him admittedly but nothing really points to him being better than what we have. So what's the point? We've got bags of cover for centre back.
