We need someone who can genuinely challenge for a first team place, and slot in seamlessly when Stokes / Hooper are unavailable.

There's no point signing a diddy who doesn't score, just because he's tall. We've got that area covered already.

yer wew have a tall striker that does not score but our one cant stand up either and finds it hard to work out which direction to run

see to be honest if we where never going to spend any money we should have signed john sutton for free or damari for 1.5 million at the start of the window or even both. now we seem to be scraping the barrel. time to ship the donkeys out and get a bit of cash.:54:

remember that big lump the huns signed a few seasons ago from a french club who spent the OF games elbowing big mick? he terrorised defences while not scoring too many goals but providing a lot for the other players, this guy looks like something along those lines, big lump of a forward to reak havoc, plus we dont have a scoring presence from corners, he might be a solution to that, anyone who can score and play in the bundesliga is good enough for our squad in my view.

I think he's a decent player, I keep up with the bundesliga highlights every week, although I agree this doesn't make me an expert. He is definately better than murphy and rasmussen. Like someone else commented he has always played for the lower german teams. The bundesliga is head and shoulders better than the spl, and I think its one of the more unpredictable european leagues. From what I've seen apart from marco reus he is one of their better players, lets also remember that gladbach are not very good, they almost got relegated last season. Lets think about cameroon, who is ahead of him upfront etoo. so who is to say he is getting a shot upfront, may be played wide. I'd give him a shot espeically for £700k:50:

Have not seen him play. But, one thing for sure, 'He has to be better than Murphy' !!
Just can't believe the Celtic Board though. No ambition, no drive, nothing.
Just save money, to give themselves a generous annual bonus & sign some player for a fiver or tenner or a case of Tennents & hope the Huns are really, really pish, so we can get lucky & win the league title this season & that'll keep the fans happy & quiet, for a couple of seasons more. Then we start losing again or the Huns get stronger & the fans begin to grumble. So what do the Board do again, sign some other player for a fiver or tenner or a case of Tennents & hope the Huns screw up.............................. aye, same s**te all over again, season after season!!!!!

    Hail Hail:shamrock:

If he can put in the effort and be a helpful player like Fortune was, then let's sign him.

To be fair mate the clubs debt stands at 14 million, our over draft with the bank was only 15million...we might be out of money due to lack of euro cash.

I'm not being funny, but Gladbach are a big club with a massive history.

They're just not that good anymore unfortunately.

thats a new one, i thought our debt was 8 million

but to be honest i think rasmussen could do a good job for us given half a chance!
he's not pretty but i think he would be effective and has done alright in the games he's played for us

    Also, isn
#t this the same Idrissou who, when at Freiburg, said he alone saved them from relegation and who said he deserves to be playing in the Champions League?

Had a great season for Freiburg that season (2008/2009 I think). However, he's hardly been prolific since. Probably the next Fortune. :38:
