    Smyth got his wish and is heading back to Edmonton.

    Of the first 5 picks I think Landeskog is the only one remotely ready to go into the NHL, the rest of them will be one or two more years in the minors.

    Rumours flying around that since the Leafs didn't get Richards they're going after Stamkos, with Scheyn plus others and draft picks going in the opposite direction.

    I got to party with tyler seguin and the stanley cup on the weekend in Toronto....* unreal
    started the night off at the Ritz hotel ...the suite was worth $6000 a night...i was mind boggled how nice it was.....then we headed to a club called embassy....seguins a * but getting to touch the cup was special (great pictures with it too!) My good friend played with Seguin on Plymouth whalers in the OHL...so he invited a few of us!

    It was an organised riot. Was going to happen whether we won or lost. And inevitably, a few drunk idiots who call themselves Canucks fans joined in. The people staying to film it and take photos didn't help either.

    Anyway, I was absolutely gutted when they lost game 7. The Canucks mean as much to me as Celtic do. I was lucky enough to make it to Game 3 in Chicago, which was awesome.

    Yes that Chicago Vancouver series was a great one. To be fair I thought the NHL playoffs in general were fantastic last year. So many great series and games in all the rounds.

    A Russian plane crashed today killing at least 36. Lokomotiv Jaroslavl (KHL) were apparently on board.
