Today the team was limp, and Mulgrew shone out. No movement up top and Mulgrew was screaming at the team, made an excellent run from CB and tried to get the team going

But not just todays game but in past, hes really gets going and motivated, very passionate and is great to see.

Surprise Player of the Year anyone? Only one mistake against motherwell and Forster was also guilty at that aswell remember.

Hail Hail Chazz Mulgrew the Hun Skelper :shamrock:

Also agree. He was my MOTM today. Can't believe the impression he's made at Centre half. Fantastic.

Big Charlie has been a revelation since his switch to CB.

He has a passion for coming out of defence with the ball (Something we have not seen from a Celtic CB in a good few years).

He is a big Celtic lad at heart, who has been rejected by his team...went away, worked hard and rightfully earned his move back.

    I am proud of him:50:

I have been really impressed with him.

Despite the odd error, which is to be expected as centre back is not his natural position, he has been a rock, and it's great to see he is comfortable with the ball at his feet. As Padmill said we have missed a centre back with good distribution and attacking flair.

Add the fact he's a real tim at heart and we have a good player on our hands. Keep it up Charlie.

well done Charlie Bhoy... it's good to see someone at the back that can actually bring the ball out of defence and use it well! He's been excellent at the back for us. T.A.L :icon_mrgreen:

anyone notice where big mc, big dan, caldwell, rogen, loovens, etc... all would head out a high ball despite not being under pressure Charlie ALWAYS one touches in down if he has the time and gets the distribution going

I dont think I am being over generous here, but Charlie was outstanding today. Easily our best player on the park. Won headers, controlled the defence, went on mazys. Just wonderful. Towards the end of the game a throw was awarded just in front of me and he ran over pleading to get the ball back from us to get on with the game.

Thats the desire and hunger I like.

Class act, captain material, I seen how gutted he looked when he made a mistake and knocked the ball out for a corner, he has great passion.

    what a post mate.

agree with the whole post but even more so with the highlighted bit, he loves skinning a few players on his way out and his sharp bursts of pace leave people rooted.

I also thought he was excellent today.. It was said in the commentary that he was arguably our match winner today because having looked like his race was run , the talk was that Rogne was warming up with a view to being our final substitute but after about 5 minutes of struggling through an injury/ailment Charlie gave the thumbs up that he'd continue and play the game out.. Commons then came on as our final sub..

this is pretty much what i was going to say. it would have been easy enough for him to have limped off but i think he knew that we needed to make an attacking change so he fought on. there are plenty of lesser men around who would have gone off.

i have to admit, i've not been his biggest fan but i'm starting to warm to him.

It will always be an advantage to have a fan as a player although I think he is a little off the pace as far as player of the year is concerned. Hopefully he can pick up this accolade in the coming years.
