I know it may be quite worrying to see f.e. many Poles living and working on the isles but i wonder if you know that your country (economy) takes great benefits from them. Believe me... such situation is also beneficial for your country and citizens :50:
You see Poles were not allowed to work in your country just after our joining to EU. Your goverment had to agree for that firstly. How do you think... why did they allow my fellow citizens to work in your country? Because they wanted to help people who can't find work in Poland? Nah! Because it's great business especially for YOU! :50:

What about my opinion about EU. Well Poland is a part of it quite short. Everything we have from EU so far are thousands of people leaving my country but it's all because our stupid goverment. I still hope someday we'll take benefits just like f.e. Ireland did but i think firstly we should get rid of our shameful president, prime minister and all this bunch of idiots... :37:

Anyway, so you may be an outsider looking in but what do you think of the EU?

I agree it's beneficial to an extent. But theres going to come a point when the likes of Bulgaria join and hundreds of thousands of people flooding in. Theres has to be a point when people will have to be turned away.

Look at America, they once welcomed anyone with open arms. Now you have to jump through hoops to get a green card.

Its good to an extent, but a line has to drawn.

I'm really unhappy that were joining, envy Marty... Think it's another dumn step towards globalising the whole world, think that sucks. PPLUS, they come with a ridiculous set of rules, and us being a country which relies pretty much on agriculture (only 40% of the contry is urban) the commen farmer has a * of alot to loose, he has to get complicated machines tae get milk, has tae register every chicken an * like thet. They're all a bunch of money stealing * from my point of view and many people here think it's a step foreward, bullshite, it's one BIG step backwards as costs rise but the terribly low salaries stay the same in Romania

Me... I strongly dislike it. Im a nationalist type of person and the EU is nothing but an organization removing nationalism and replacing it with a global government.

I know people will disagree with me but when I was in Dublin last year. I saw so many eastern-european immigrants. Its removing the identity of people over there and changing the economies.

EU has been good for us in Ireland
we've milked it for every last cent
so much so that every east euro country that recently
joined has sent some of their best people over to suss out how the * we did it!!
Now that we're not the poor country that we used to be, we now have to pay our way.....must be time to get the * out of it methinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the EU is in general a positive thing. For one thing after constant wars the EU has played a big role in bringing to an end all out wars at least in western Europe so far. Obviously the expansion east is newer. For instance the idea of France and Germany going to war against each other now is a total non starter. The trade links between the various nations have brought the countries closer together.
There are many many positives and negatives one could debate about in reagards to the EU. But for me overall I feel it is a positive and I am happy that Ireland is a member.
