    how do we know that?

Wilson was poor at the start of the season, we've seen Lustig just a handful of times, i think we should judge him next season

anyway, good luck to mark wherever he goes next

Wilson always reminded me a bit of Jackie McNamara when Jackie was younger. He wasn't quite as good as Jackie but I could see some similarities between the two.

Can't agree, Hinkel was superb at his best and Matthews is a 19 year old with the world at his feet.

Don't get me wrong, Wilson at his best was a great player to have but we have never had him at his best for anything other than a dozen games tops.

Maybe Lenny would have kept him on only for the extent and unpredictability of the injuries he has incurred in the past. Hope he gets a lengthy run for his future team. If so, whoever gets him will have a more than worthy right back on their team sheet.

I'd have to slightly amend your opinion of Andreas Hinkel. I'd say Hinkel was excellent coming forward but I don't think he defended his corner all that well. Mark Wilson wasn't as good as Hinkel in an attacking sense but he was much more reliable defensively. So I would say Wilson was a better all-rounder, that's why I'd pick him over Hinkel.

Adam Matthews could well go on to be a better player than Mark Wilson. There's every chance of that being the case. Looking at Mark Wilson's performances last season and comparing them to Adam Matthews performances this season, I'd rather have Mark Wilson.

I think Wilson was at his best for a lot more than a dozen games last season. Slightly harsh there mate.

Yeah I've always thought that myself. If he stays in the SPL our left-wingers could have a tough job!

Mark Wilson, what a loyal servant to the club. Many players would have left after being frozen out of the team, but he didn't. So good last season. Good luck Mark wherever you go because YNWA.

Great wee player for us, and Celtic to the core. If it wasn't for his bad luck with injuries, he would have had a more fulfilling career at Celtic. Always gave his all for us. Good luck to you Mark, thanks for your commitment to the Hoops :ynwacelti

Nice wee goodbye from Mark Wilson. Shame he's leaving but at least it's with his head held high.
