I don't think we are more than a club (or at least no more or less than any other club is to their fans). And I don't think we have any right to claim some sort of cultural superiority over teams like Chelsea just because they are richer than us and more successful.

But I agree that money has ruined football and modern football is rubbish because of it.

Yeh more popular for people who sit in Pubs and at home on the TV

There is far more Irish people at CP every week than Anfield or Old Trafford!

Irish fans clearly prefer EPL. Aviva showed showed us this early in the season.

So you would rather we all went to Liverpool and Manure. Would you have the same feeling toward fans from Ayrshire as regards more going to watch the huns or do you reserve your scorn for the Irish supporter?

Take what you want from the bit in bold. With your attitude toward the Irish I am sure there would be one club where the majority of supporters would have the same feelings.

    i don't think so

not all police forces will just stand there and watch crimes being committed, also stewards are actually employed to prevent criminal damage and motherwell should be asking the people they employed to prevent such acts why they did nothing --- a point that no papers are picking up on.

if celtic park wont allow celtic songs then maybe away grounds will be just the place to sing. I can't attend but hope all those who do can stick together and act with unity

Through the susceptible of Sky Sports adverts, EPL broadcast and EPL ignorance of media :icon_mrgreen:

I am glad we have real supporters from over the water, shows the impact of the size of club we are. :86:

Shame they didn't turn up to the Aviva then.

A few times we've played there now and we have been embarrassed by the lack of Irish Celtic fans there.

Vast majority will be Liverpool,Man Utd etc fans.

I can see the point your point in the first bit. I'm proud of our history and why, culturally, we were founded.

Wouldn't say cultural superiority, but more in anger now over the PLC soundbites they hit out with 'More the a club' & 'A club like no other'. When in reality we are no different...I guess that's the point you were making. :icon_mrgreen:

    Agreed bottom part.

Have you felt embarrassed by the lack of Irish supporters at these games?

Last week we were blaming the stewards at Fir Park for not doing their jobs properly when the section behind the goal was overcrowded and the damage was caused. It was mentioned that our own stewards would have done a better job in controlling this event. Then on Saturday the stewards were in heavy handed apparently on guys just singing Celtic songs and they get dogs abuse. This forum is full of people who see what they want and whatever suits their particular point of view and * anybody who has the temerity to disagree with them. Its getting boring now the same stuff day after day, all the chat about what we should do to get rid of the board ,Lennon, prawn sandwichers and as yet no one has as yet actually done * all in trying to organise some sort of protest, and dont give me the * about handing your SB's back you probably just want a few extra bob for Christmas and you will be back next season

All the Irish experts on this forums are the ones who hold the Irish supporters with the most disdain. Were Celtic not the most supported team at the Dublin cup?

Have you got facts and figures to back that up ?

I'm not scornful towards Irish supporters. Just because I said ''* Irish'' doesn't mean I dislike them.

    Did you miss the question.

I'm not scornful to Irish supporters :smiley-laughing002:

That is a poor comparison seeing as Ayrshire is in Scotland and Ireland is a another country.
