signings have been an utter joke !
goalkeeper - we have signed newcastles 3rd choice on loan to be our number 1 ! what a joke! not even a loan with a view to buying , just a loan so he can get experience! is that what celtic have become now? a feeder club for a team just out of the championship?
defence - probably the bit of the team that needed the biggest attention. what did we get? £600k spent on it ! we have got a 33yr old centre half that makes even hoiveld look quick. looks big and strong and decent in the air but has no pace at all and looks clumsy. game in utrecht showed all his flaws! 3 full backs of which 2 are rank rotten! cha and mulgrew are terrible. keep hearing that these 2 are great going forward but that is bullshite. they are the worst fullbacks iv ever seen at this club. honduras left back looked ok at motherwell but he wasnt up against much so time will tell on him. cant believe thats all the business we have done to our defence. can anyone seriously say that defence is better than hinkel, caldwell, mcmanus, naylor ? we were not happy with that defence now we seem to have worse!!
midfield - kayal looked decent as did juarez who should be moved to right back as he aint good enough to play in the middle. yet lennon decided to drop these 2 and play brown ahead of both? so lennon thinks brown is better than these 2? if so why sign them? ledley looks a good footballer and i think he will be good for us but has hardly set the team alight so far.
forwards - hooper, stokes and murphy ! wow ! they would strike the fear into any defence. 3 players there and not 1 of them is better than samaras. murphy doesnt look like he should be here as he dont look good enough yet when he and stokes were at sunderland he was about 3 or 4 places ahead of stokes to play. stokes scored about 5 goals in about 60 apps in england. when he was upped a level he was found wanting. then we have hooper who doesnt seem to be able to run, has only 1 foot, cant hold a ball up and has still to win a header in his entire career! the much maligned samaras will play in front of these 3 every week so surely these cant be looked upon as great signings.
overall very unimpressed ! start of the window it was looking like like james, bullard, campbell, bellamy. like lennon said a british spine to his team!! but just like andy walker said .. what happened to that quote? where did the british spine go that he said he was wanting? no number 7 ? no replacement for mcgeady ? overall we are stuck with a squad that is probably worse than the squad we had last year and to win the league we will be relying on the huns being pish ! only 1 man to take the blame mr lennon .

Personally I think he done alrite this time round. Its not easy trying to get players to come to scotland if others are interested but the boy did good. Juarez looks to be a great signing, Majovic will tie the defence together, or smack them if they dont do what they need to, Hooper could be a star and Stokes.

Thats just some of the new lads, if they can now get used to playing together this has the making of a good side. Dare I say getting knocked out of europe early on this season might be a good thing, get the lads on the training ground instead of jetting all round the former communist block.

Was looking at my kids Celtic calendar earlier, for September had picture of Danny Fox - remember him - and Josh Thomson. Looked through rest of calendar and only something like 9 out of 24 players (2 per month) are still here. Says it all really, maybe I should ask for a refund ;-)

At the end of the day, the guy wants to be Celtic manager and is willing to be treated like a puppet. Didn't expect anything less from him. The board will never do a Martin O'Neill or anybody that's had any success as they'll be calling the shots.

We need a stronger board. If Lawwell was a real man and fan of the club, Rangers wouldn't have won 2 titles in the state they're in. YES, that's TWO. * gets on yer goat eh?
